Or should they be gold due to Veteran status??? :D There is a conspiracy me thinks. Nice text on the scrolls as well, very neat.

I'm thinking about the composition of the Terminator squad. My current idea is to go for 4 LC and one TH/SS. I like the idea of rerolling hits to wound. I will attach a priest (not sure about TDA on this guy) and a Librarian.

Any suggestions?

You could just give the libby the storm shield?

He will get one, indeed. I already built him that way.

Question is if it makes any sense to include another TH/SS since I have that awesome model from space hulk I could use. (http://2plusinvulnerable.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/gideon1.jpg?w=500)

Well... LC only, 1 TH/SS or 2 TH/SS? That's the question.

Is there any consenus about these configurations?

Um, just a question... I was thinking of doing something similar to this but when I hold my Space Hulk Termies next to the regular ones the Space Hulk ones seem a bit big? Am I right?

If you have a close look at the torso and the legs you realize that they are not really taller, but taking the immense amount of decorative elements and ornaments into account they really appear to be bigger. At least that is my impression. And since I will have no "normal" Terminators in my force, that is no problem alltogether. I like them bulky and they have a really impressive appearence on the battlefield.

But the power fists are equal in size, so they conversion was really not a big deal, given you have a sharp knife. (I use KDS power black blades)

To be honest... It went so well.. I was really amazed.

Wow! You're correct Kardion, thanks so much :) I had a close look at my space hulk minis at the power fist, back, and legs and compared them to the Black reach termies and found they were the same. I'm the same as you and I'm not going to have any normal ones in my force either. I'm using one squad of terminators as they are and then the next five I will give lightning claws like these. May I ask if the lightning claws are metal or plastic ones? Thanks :D

Glad to help you...

;)

These are of course plastic ones. I ordered them from bitz-shops on ebay. I wouldn't recommend metal ones since there is a lot of cutting involved in this conversion and it would be a royal pain with metal claws.

:D

Ahah okay, I realised the flaw in my question afterwards lol :)

Cool okay, I have a website that I order my bitz from too, that's easy to do. My question is how did you actually do it? Did you cut the power fist off and replace it with a lighting claw and then just put a new arm on the other side?

You can see it on the pictures.

For the right arms (from the miniatures point of view) I used Forgeworld Shoulderpads, so I cut it this way:

And for the left arms I kept the shoulder part and only attached the fist itself. Cutting was done like in the picture. The parts fit so well together that even the wire connects in the same spot.
