My force will be posted later tonight but I will be structuring the brotherhood around the space wolves codex, giving me a little more flexibility with troop organization and types. I have the idea that Nicirite is a bloodthirsty, wrathful, and Xenophobic captain (yes I know...pretty stereotypical). He is also a firm follower of the Imperial Creed. He is deployed in the vanguard of a force and usually through drop pod or landraider, getting him into the fray as soon as possible. He is the Captain of the Brotherhood of Flames. That is the second of 10 brotherhoods within the Storm Lords, all with elemental themes, IA thoughts....hmmm. I was going to use him as a count as Ragnar Blackmane (what do you think), or a generic wolf lord. He would be accompanied by wolf guard body-guards I am still working on the name... I was also going to use my incomming contemptor pattern dreadnought as a Storm Lords Bjorn. Thoughts? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The contemptor is comming a long nice but I'm not sure about the undersulng Plasmacannon, the random wire looks a bit half-assed compared to the stunning work on the commander. But I'm going to have to agree with Power Hungry Monkey that the underslung Plasmacannon doesn't look like it belongs. Its a little too big to be underslung on the powerfist arm and still look good. Also, I think the stormshield on your bodyguard should be turned so that the skull is up and down, rather than left and right. Either that or move the skull. Just my two cents. Keep up the good work. Siege40k Posted September 15, 2011 Author Share Posted September 15, 2011 A contemptor plasma cannon has been ordered! I wasn't sure how this would look, had the pieces and decided, what the heck. I am not the best at more than really simple conversions so the only way I will learn is to try. I do want to know what you think about me integrating some things from the space wolves sprue's into the models. I think the semi-feral feel and the skulls help to illicit what I am looking for, but I am not entirely sure. I will be using C:SM probably but I do really like the idea of running them as Space Wolves. Any thoughts would be appreciated! I also ordered another little treat from FW to start really get going on these guys so in a few weeks I should have some treats to show! I am also looking for the honor guard breastplate with the columns of skulls from the Sevrin Loth pack. I am having trouble finding where to get this piece, any hints would be appreciated. They seem to be the most true to their parent chapter the White Scars. The freehand in the cape of Captain Nicirite its very nice and the painting is very clean an crisp, the only i would change IMHO,its the topknot in the helmet, i would go for black higlithed with grey it seems theres to much green in the mini and to balance i would go that way,but it's definitely a great paint job like this right now :) Keep the good work coming Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The white takes FOREVER to build up but I think the slow and steady and super thin coats is going to give me nice coverage overall. I will be attempting OSL on the plasma cannon so we'll see and there is a ton left to do but it is coming along well!
