Levitas
After reading The Battle for the Fang I have a new found respect and admiration for Bjorn. We have rules in his dread encased state. But what rules and stats would you give to the Fell Handed at the pinnacle of his powers, running at the head of the pack full of menace and grief...? Xeenos
Well, he was Russ's Wolf Guard, then later a Wolf Lord and then Great Wolf. So id say he easily meets Logan on a stats/point bases. Maybe like.. twin wolf claws, belt of russ, Wolf Helm of Russ (Ulrics thing) Not a TDA fan personally, id say Runic armor is a higher sign of rank, but it seams most big shots use TDA so maybe he is in TDA too.. I wonder if as a Wolf Guard he used a Assault Cannon + Wolf Claw.. i read that they Dreads are often given the weapons favored in life! Shame we cant get duel CCW on our Dreads.. Mmm. Skirax
I'd go with Xeenos for his actual bodily form, but as for his Dread, I'd add +3 to his Initiative, +1 to his Strength, Weapon Skill and Attack characteristics. Levitas
I'm not a huge fan of TDA either, but I think as Great Wolf he would wear it. Rules wise maybe a mash up between Logan, Ragnar and his dread rules. With his claws being named and having some cool rule, like canceling out eternal warrior or having frost blades (+1 str wolf claws!) He should have Feel No Pain too for sure. He favors Plasma in the Battle for the Fang, so maybe a master crafted combi plasma and frost edged wolf claw...yeah. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233689-bjorn-to-be-wild/#findComment-2813576 Share on other sites
commander alexander
Plasma pistol, if I remember correctly..... How about wolf claw(s) that he may re-roll to hit with, but other wise wound on 3's unless his strength made it less. Wolftooth necklace, ( Haha! 3's or less suckers!) and a plasma cannon on the other arm of his tda suit. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233689-bjorn-to-be-wild/#findComment-2813625 Share on other sites
Grimtooth
I don't see him going TDA at all. I would say he would be in RA, WTN, WTT, Belt of Russ, Wolf Claw, combi-anything, Eternal Warrior, and Furious Charge. He would also need Magesty or something similiar to represent his status on the VI. Grey Mage
I like the Tempus Fugitives rules for him, though those are pre-greatwolf. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233689-bjorn-to-be-wild/#findComment-2813767 Share on other sites
Marshal Rohr
TDA is a symbol of rank. I like the idea that the SW use it to signify biggest badass. So a Wolf Guard in the WL retinue would wear it. The Wolf Lord would have a more blinged out version. And Grimnar's is a powerhouse of ancient proportions. He comes across as a no frills kind of warrior. He'd complain it restricted him i'm sure. Nrthstar
It's interesting to me that so many dislike tda style wise. Tda is one of the things that got me into the game, I loved the look and style of a walking tank. As he is such in his current state I would see him in tda back then too. His banner is the only inclination we have however it is a rather arbitrary thing picking a random bit of art to imply the truth. But that's 40k, thousands of questions and only scraps of art or stories to answer them with. Valerian
I like the Tempus Fugitives rules for him, though those are pre-greatwolf. Yeah, that's what I was going to recommend. Can you provide that in the thread? I'm in the middle of a move and don't have my stuff (just my handy iPhone) or I would do it myself... Tda is one of the things that got me into the game, I loved the look and style of a walking tank. Ive always just been a bigger fan of Power type armor because its more flex able. My wolf lord used to roll Runic + Belt of Russ all the time. While TDA looks sick, i mean its great to have these big bad ass dudes! But you lose Frags/Krak, you can run people down, you take up more spot in a transport.. That and i also used a Frost Weapon + Bolt Pistol and you cant get the second attack in TDA with a Storm Bolter B) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233689-bjorn-to-be-wild/#findComment-2814080 Share on other sites
