Here's my latest Thunderwolf conversion. Anybody have any recommendations for the eyes? I want to improve my technique.

looking good! but how about making the thunderwolf his eyes yellow, more wolf like like this instead of just a red dot? since you've got the skills to paint eyes like that you're definetly able to pull it off!

Looks pretty cool!

I am about to undertake the same task of converting some juggernauts.

Could you tell us what you did to cover all the icons? Obviously shaving chaosy stuff off is in order but I noticed that the chaos markings are engraved into the model , is green stuff recomended?

Green stuff can be a problem because you cannot sand it.

Sandable putty of any kind, however, works wonders. Slather it on, wait for it to dry, then sand off the excess with an fine emery board. After priming and painting, you can't even tell that the engraved icon was ever there.

However, the putty shrinks a bit as it dries, so you may to repeat the process 2-3 times for deeper icons.

Thanks for the feedback. I know juggers are not everyone's favorite TWC, but I just prefer the metal beasts that have a hair more realism than giant wolves.

I haven't built a plastic jugger with the recessed chaos symbols yet, but my plan was to use green stuff and smooth it out with a bit of water before it dries, then shave it with the edge of a blade like you would do the mold lines.

I don't have steady hands at all (I brace both hands to get the detail), so if anyone has a technique for eyes that can be done with a good brush let me know.

Finishing up a typhoon speeder now....then the army should be complete...again.
