Trud Coldfist
I only have the SW codex so don't know if this is written the same in the others but I am confused by the wording here. It says you may ADD an attack bike for the points cost listed, not upgrade. So does this mean an attack bike is just the points listed or do I still have to pay the basic cost of the unit as well as if it were an upgrade? Grey Mage
An attack bike is just the price listed. Its a little cheaper than the other marine books because it only has BS3. Cheap as chips. Trud Coldfist
Ok Ty. That's what I assumed. So I have never used or even seen bikes used before. I know they come equipped with a twin Bolter but I'm assuming they can't fire that and their own personal weapons? I looked in the rulebook but I see no mention of this. They can fire the twin-linked Bolter or a weapon they are armed with, such as a Melta Gun, or Flamer. Bikers are Relentless, so there is no reason shoot, say, a Bolt Pistol over the Bikes TL Bolters. G. A. K.
every model on a bike may fire any one of its weapons, so an attack bike can fire both the heavy waepon and the bolters if you want because there are two guys on it :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233772-sw-attack-bike-cost/#findComment-2816258 Share on other sites

You can give a special weapon to the rider, and know that you can always fire the TL Bolter and save the special weapon for when you need it. Very flexible. Valerian
Not taking a attack bike is dumb, 5pt for a extra wound and a heavy weapon And, and extra attack on the charge (5 total), compared to a regular Biker. I'm glad that I've finally gotten my Attack Bike finished, and my second Power Fist swapped over to a Chainsword (since we lost the ability to have more than one SCCW in Swift Claw pack). I'm looking forward to fielding my bikes again. V Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233772-sw-attack-bike-cost/#findComment-2816575 Share on other sites

Of course I could have eased the confusion if I had written 'rider' instead of 'model' like in the actual rules. Marshal Wilhelm
anyone feel like posting pictures of their Wolfed out Attack Bikes? I remember seeing a Wolf Speeder with a MM armed Wolf instead of the more sedate sitting gunner. That would be sweet to see. Plus a White Scar hanging from a Rhino with a spear in hand, also cool. This is another one I like: Ravenborn, pg 6 near the bottom So cool! I agree with Vrox, show us your beauties! Coverfire
So for the squad limit could you purchase 10 Swiftclaws and an attack bike? I realise this does seem silly but I thought it would be more concise to say "One Swiftclaw biker may be upgraded to an attack bike for the cost of +5 points" Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233772-sw-attack-bike-cost/#findComment-2822527 Share on other sites
Max_Dammit
you can get 3 bikes and a attack bike or 10 bikes and an attack bike (and all in between). so the pack can be 12 wounds in total, but id spit it in 2 just to get 2 attack bikes Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233772-sw-attack-bike-cost/#findComment-2822763 Share on other sites
