But for a pre-heresy model he must have friends in very high places or can jump into the future to have a newer post heresy bolt pistol. Might i suggust a side arm of that time frame to more solidify your pre- heresy claim. or you could just claim he's been handed down this ornate armor from the heresy then thats more like it.
