Anti-psycher rules question

Black Memories

Recommended Posts

Played in a tournament the other day and can across a situation where my librarians were within 24 inches of both his rune priests and both attempted a cancellation on each psychic power (making it extremely difficult to successfuly cast any psychic powers at all).

My question is this: Is that even possible? We looked in the codex to see the rules entry to see if he was allowed to attempt multiple blocks against my psychic powers but found no limitations. Psychic hoods, on the other hand, only allow for 1 block attempt per psychic power. Is this a SW rules FAQ? Or is this a legal move? I allowed my opponent to do it and wasn't really bothered by the incident, just attempted to play around it. The player was a good sport and was not attempting to cheese me if this is not allowed, just seeking clarification. A 75% chance to block a successful psychic cast is significantly more powerful than the less than 50% chance to hood a cast.

Please educate me.

iirc (dex not in the house) yes this is the case, there is no limit to the amount of attempts that a RP can use to block a power (meaning that its not the first one).

looking in the FAQ i didnt see anything about it, but i quickly skimmed over it.

Quote from GW FAQ

"Page 36 – Runic Weapon,

Replace the fourth sentence with “Furthermore, whenever

an enemy model succeeds on a Psychic test within 24" of

one or more models with a Runic Weapon, roll a dice […]"

You only get to roll once.
