Warmaster OzzY Posted July 11, 2011 Share Posted July 11, 2011 Greetings all i have recently taken on the idea of forming a raptor pack for my Khorne warband however i cant seem to get any ideas. I will be using loyalist jump packs and general chaos bits due to a hatred of the current raptor models. any help or ideas or just general points in the right direction would be greatly appriciated as im lost. i have my ideas for my aspiring champion but thats it its driving me insane as i have a ton of bits in front of me but not a clue where to start. ive checked through the various forums on here and havent found much and im hating not being able to get anywhere. my warband at the moment is full of converted models and guys who basically look like they have just fallen to khorne and joined the warband for the sake of survival(not sure if survival is the right word when speaking of khorne devotees). Warmaster OzzY Posted July 11, 2011 Author Share Posted July 11, 2011 Yeah being a khorne based army the trophy racks are a must in fact most if not all of my marines have a trophy of some kind adorning them, was going to give the plasticard jump packs ago but as im relatively new to the stuff its gonna be an attempt, wasnt really sure as to what ideas i really had to be honest just trying to stick to the khornate theme as much as possible really, quick question tho at what point does the use of loyalist parts stop being chaos plunder and become just blatant part swap :) cheers for the help so far guys p.s the night lords look amazing. maverike_prime Posted July 11, 2011 Share Posted July 11, 2011 I've never much liked the idea of Chaos Marines with Jump packs just because of the fluff. The fluff says those marines that specialised in assault tactics during the great crusade were an elite minority at the time. Even the Blood Angles and Night lords, The two largest users of Assault tactics could only muster a couple hundred assault troops in total. So with that thinking, the idea that a chaos marines can just strap on a jump pack and become a raptor never sat well with me. I've always preferred the approach that the jump pack and marine have mutated and become one entity. Warmaster OzzY Posted July 11, 2011 Author Share Posted July 11, 2011 I agree with you maverick and this is where my dilema started. the aspiring champion will have wings but i was kinds hoping to give the squad the kind of not quite fallen completely yet look, hence the loyalist jump packs. i mite take the idea of jump pack and marine being fused and go a lil mad with the green stuff. thanks for the ideas Maverick.
