Losfer Werds
I decided to start putting together a Sternguard squad (or in this case a Deathwatch Kill-team that will also act as a Sternguard squad). Doing this from individual models, and having already used the combi-melta from my SM Commander box, I decided to see if I could successfully create one by hacking bits off of a bolter and a meltagun. I'm actually pretty happy with the result. http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j260/LosferWerds/2011-07-11_13-13-33_724.jpg http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j260/LosferWerds/2011-07-11_13-13-43_817.jpg Now I've just noticed a bit I forgot to paint next to the tank. undeadfilth
kinda funny, that's the same way i did my combi-meltas for my sternguard:P drop pod a squad of ten in then combat squad and toast 2 tanks first turn, mmmm mmm good. especially if you set up a couple of scouted flamestorm baals to roast any occupents:)
JMac
It may just be me, but the melta barrel looks oversized for the boltgun. Top heavy almost, could you use an inferno pistol head instead maybe?

Losfer Werds
You know I thought about it, but it matches the basic dimensions of the one that came in the commander kit this way. Edit: The smaller barrel of the IP made it look more like a fluted suppressor, with might make for a good Stalker pattern bolter some time in the future.
