Davey80y
Been meaning to do this for a long time now (most of these minis have been sat in a box for the last year or so) and with the upcoming WD rule set getting closer and closer I've finally bit the bullet. I intend to have this army completed in the next few weeks (lets see how long the pledge lasts) so I’ll be going for a nice black and red scheme (no white on these ladies!!) as you can see from the pic there's a lot to get through, plus all my commission work as well, but I really need a change from painting marines ATM :-) here’s todays update just before they take a nitromors bath :-) http://i424.photobucket.com/albums/pp327/davey8oy/P7110002.jpg ps all the bits are there for these just been lazy :-) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233893-speed-painting-a-sisters-of-battle-force/ Share on other sites
Davey80y
expensive jam!! http://i424.photobucket.com/albums/pp327/davey8oy/P71100022.jpg still need 2 heavy bolters or multimelta's (or one of each?) and a sister superior if anyone has them?? subtlebrush
Just letting you know I am completely jealous of your Sisters collection there. For your scheme are you going to do a quartered red and black? Because I think they would look amazing in a quartered color scheme. Sgt. Wolf
Looking good man, really like your bases. popkhorne
wow i didn't even know it was possible to be this organized with miniatures. bases, and then spray paint? MADNESS! wouldn't you rather just haphazardly assemble and paint things when you get around to it? Also nice models, that cannoness could use some more converting though the head is a bit big. Nidhogg_Rider
Will be keeping an eye on this! Slowly getting around to painting up the majority (if not all) of my own Sister's force over the summer! Mr Yellow
You are demonstrating an unerringly efficient and organised approach to this. I therefore conclude you are not human. Now, please stop so that I don't feel bad about the fact that you have painted more in the last THREE DAYS. (I just checked the age of this topic) THREE FLIPPING DAYS. It would take me a good 2/3 weeks to do that! Olis
I'm impressed you're getting all this done so quickly - it must be something to do with batch painting such a large number of models in one go. My batches usually are about ten percent the size of what you're doing! Bravo, brother. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233893-speed-painting-a-sisters-of-battle-force/#findComment-2819289 Share on other sites
subtlebrush
That Canoness looks way better with the neck guard trimmed like you've done. The girls are coming along very nicely. asmodai650
So glad I stickied this thread. Makes me want to start busting it again on my stuff. I think a little of the light brown or light green static grass on the bases would be a good idea. It's just one more little touch that adds a lot to the figures. Chapter Master Ignis Domus
I may have to start a Sisters army again just to follow in your vast and awe-inspiring footsteps. Those bases are excellent. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233893-speed-painting-a-sisters-of-battle-force/#findComment-2819704 Share on other sites
S'jet
I like the bases too. Suprised you dont burn out painting this way. Thing with sisters i found is takes a while to paint all the smaller details on them, cant just airbrush like marines (mostly cause of the robes having such a large area). Will be watching! =) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233893-speed-painting-a-sisters-of-battle-force/#findComment-2820115 Share on other sites
