Serraphim Posted July 13, 2011 Share Posted July 13, 2011 So after a very long hiatus from 40K I've decided that I really want an Angels Sanguine army, mainly because the new kits are awesome. I have 2 lists planned a drop pod assault lead by Tycho and a Sanguine Guard force, all 1850. So for my first purchases after the book I got 2 boxes of SG and put one of them together, I wanted to learn the kit before I convert my Dante. Last night I started working on one of the SG. I know that the gold looks less gold and more bronze, but there's only 1 level on highlight on now and I've got a tonne of glazing to do. Serraphim Posted July 14, 2011 Author Share Posted July 14, 2011 I feel that the NMM Gold is pretty much finished, although I'll do a final round of highlights and shading before I varnish to make sure everything ties together well. I decided that I wanted to convert up a counts as Dante: Sentikan the Sanguine Seraphim, Lord of the Angels Sanguine. Armed with the Spear of Longinius (Mastercrafted Power Weapon) and wearing the Angelic Mantle (Jump pack that gives his squad never scatter and hit and run) and Face of Rage. verpine Posted July 16, 2011 Share Posted July 16, 2011 I don't think there's enough contrast in the NMM gold to make it convincing. The darks need to be darker and the light lighter. Nothing really interesting I base coated the gold on the other 4 SG. I'm going to bring the highlights up a lot more (go bold) on the first SG, but I'm going to do all 5 at the same time.
