Void Stalkers
I have no money... but I wanted a Thunderhawk. so after finding the model dimensions online, I built this as close to the Forgeworld model as I could. it does deviate to compensate for my lack of parts though Front: rear: turbolaser closeup: and hatches closeup: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/234127-lego-thunderhawk/ Share on other sites
Watcher in the Dark
LOL. Great job with that! I plan on building mine out of card and bitz but yours has that lego charm. Wanna know the silliest part? If that were an actual Lego kit... It would cost almost as much as FW's TH. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/234127-lego-thunderhawk/#findComment-2819327 Share on other sites

If that were an actual Lego kit... It would cost almost as much as FW's TH. ;) Nah, not even close. Lego's Ultimate Collector's Series Star Destroyer had over 3000 pieces and it was less than half as much as a FW Thunderhawk. Hemal
Ah yes - I love the Ultimate collection SD. I have teh "normal" SD at home - which cost nigh on £125 when I purchased it. Might use it as a SM cruiser in Epic ;-) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/234127-lego-thunderhawk/#findComment-2819474 Share on other sites

Void Stalkers
haha, thanks all ;) either of those Star Destroyers would be worth it, I almost drool with the thought of what vehicles could be built from such troves of matching parts! I don't really have the pieces to build a Reaver  but the thought of a monster like that built from Legos makes me want to hit Ebay for large collections. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/234127-lego-thunderhawk/#findComment-2824838 Share on other sites

dustermaker
To be honest, that plus some plasticard and greenstuff.......wow never really thought about legos as a base for scratch building. It is pretty much a perfect combo! Great job on the Thunderhawk!
