Razmus
Hey all, Can anyone help me with the logistics of the Sang Priest accompanying a full ten man unit in a Rhino? The Rhino's capacity is ten; how does this work if you want to include a Preist? That would bust the cap in the Rhino... those of you who use him, what do you do to work around this issue? Thanks for any help you can give... or direct me to thread that can help. Razmus
Rob_Loken
You would have to combat squad the unit he was with. You can only fit ten men into a rhino. A Sanguinary priest would bring that to 11. Best bet if you want a rhino is to drop a marine. Though that would lose you access to special weapons in the case of tactical marines.
JamesI
In my experience, I usually run an 8 man assault squad with ICs attached in a rhino. There is no way to use apriest and a 10 man squad together in a transport without buying a Redeemer/Crusader.
Mutters
Remember that his bubble is drawn from the edge of his transport. A razorback holds 6, so you can combat squad 3 bolters, melta, sergeant and a priest in one. For a killier unit, go with the 8 assault, HQ and priest in a rhino, or upgrade to the stormraven and take a full 10 tac and 2 ICs. If I want something shooty, I usually go with Honor Guard or Sternguard, since you can upgrade them in combi-weapons or meltas and throw them in a transport. AbusePuppy
As noted, the Priest's bubble is drawn from the transport's hull when he is embarked, which can make for some pretty huge auras- for this reason (and others), running Honor Guard in a Razorback can be an excellent way to bring some FNP/FC to the army. Other than that, 8/9man Assault Squads are your best option; really, Tacticals don't need a Priest nearby particularly much, as they won't be taking many wounds from Bolters/etc and shouldn't be charging into combat (and if they do, it'll be against something that they can beat so easily they don't need the bonus or cannot possibly beat, only delay).
