Flesh Tearers Assault Terminator

Recommended Posts

This is the first painted model from my Flesh Tearers army. He is part of the unit that I first posted here. I am sorry for the poor quality of the photos (some details are either lost or distorted), but I hope that you get a fairly good idea of what he looks like. The base has been left unpainted, because I plan to base him on a scenic base and I am still waiting for my order to be delivered. As always C&C are more than welcome.

Looks pretty fine to me. Where did the shoulder pads come from?

The right shoulder pad comes from the World Eaters FW kit. I just trimmed the Khorne symbol and voila! The left shoulder pad is a conversion of mine from the the studs to the buzz-saw trim.

All of your FT models are very cool, I enjoyed looking at them all.

I like the way you have highlighted up to almost a white on this model, I may try that myself someday in the near future.

The studded shoulder pad conversion is !*&%$#^@! AWESOME!

...

I like the thunder hammer conversion too :D

I think if someone tried to describe your highlighting technique to me, it would sound like something I wouldn't like. In practice though the method really speaks for itself, looks pretty terrific IMO. The conversions are obviously great too, but I wanted more to point out your good choices as far as detailing goes; the orange of the skull on the axe and the shade of the axe handle etc look good and work well with the rest of the colours. Little stuff like that can make all the difference, so I thought you should know that it's worked well. Impressive work :cuss

Wow, guys you literally make me blush. I have never expected such a feedback, when I first posted these pics. Your comments are certainly very motivational and encourage me to make an effort to paint more often.

I am also really glad that you liked the conversions, because apart from the time dedicated in their design they turned out to be also quite costly in time and effort :P
