Brother Hans-Heinrich
Not a fan of the Mags, so I was thinking of a return to the design of the metal PA GK. They had these ammo feeds running to their backpacks. Tried this: 1. ( lacking the light even with a bright blue sky on a sunny day, shot in night-shot mode so a bit greenish...) 2. ( yes, the barrel was drilled after the photos taken.) http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2011/7/16/247455_md-Space%20Marines%20Grey%20Knights%20Wip,%20Warhammer%2040,000.JPG http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2011/7/16/247456_md-Space%20Marines%20Grey%20Knights%20Wip,%20Warhammer%2040,000.JPG If i add such scraps of plastic and paint them accordingly, could I evade sculpting as greenstuff and its relatives and I hate each other with a passion? Do you think the size is correct? Any better idea? verpine
Looks like you'll need some GS to make that look nice. Just some quick gap filling. It's really really easy, you shouldn;t have any problems. Just put some vaseline on your hobby knife, pack in GS, cut away excess, and smooth it over. Shadey
There are various belt feeds both in and outside of 40k. You could use one of them and make a press mold for greenstuff. The other advantage besides the obvious is anything you cast up with this using greenstuff would be slightly flexible. Never done anything like this so I can say for sure, but I would guess 2 to 3 hours of curing, maybe more before you remove it from the mold, position it and glue with superglue, trim if needed. (make it extra long, you can always cut bits off much easier than you can add it on). Something like a heavy bolter feed would look good but in that case, might be slightly too large. Liquid_awesomes
I remember someone once put up a post about finding resin ammo feeds which where flexible, allowing you to bend them to the right shape. It may be worth doing some fishing around to see if you can find them. Brother Morgan
Zinge Industries does flexible ammo belts. Haven't bought myself, but reading other threads, people seem to like. Doghouse
I think that if you clean it up a little it should work. Other than the Zinge feeds I find the feed on the dreadnought stormbolter works well.
