Edemia
Hi guys, I just bought a can of Army Painter White Spray Primer today for the first time as I had heard a lot of good things about it. I'm not sure entirely what to expect, but when I primed the models, the finish came out chalky and textured - is this normal for these primers? Montuhotep
GW spray cans also had this effect for awhile; I think the problem lies with the temperature at which you spray - something either too hot or too cold, I can't recall which. Chapter Master Kanithon
I've had this problem, I think the spray coat goes textured if it's too hot because the spray dries before it hits the model, or something like that. Although it could be because it's too cold or wet, either way, it has to be relatively dry to spray I believe... Mercadius
I find it's usually a side effect because it's too hot: the primer 'dusts' as it settles on the mini. I undercoat in my back yard where its well ventilated but wait and spray my figures at night if its a sunny day.
