Volkmir
Well i finally chosen to start blood angels, in truth i was going to start a space wolf army but it seems that most of my gaming store is wolves so I had a dilemma between 3 armies which were the blood angles, the new grey knights and the black templars. In the end the bloods won  . Now my question is i want to start a 1000pt army but have no clue on what to get. Also my gaming store plays very competitive lists so my 1000 pt list has to be on the competitive side till it becomes a 1750pt competitive tournament list. So what I am asking is what to get for a 1000pt competitive list and how to proceed in getting the remaining 750pts. Thanks all in advance ;)

Thanks all in advance :D I'm sure you'll get many replies telling you that you can go about this in many ways, but if you truly want to build a competitive list you are going the Razorback spam route. Preferably with an alpha strike unit, something like sternguard in drop pod, to deal with those pesky s8 autocannon dreadnoughts greyknights run. You really can't go wrong with 3-4 razorback kits as your starting point.
Castiel
Hello May I suggest the Blood Angels Battleforce? It gives you a good start on troops (10 Tactical marines, 5 assault marines, 5 Death company and a rhino) and is cheaper than buying them separately, it basically gives you the rhino free! Pretty good competitivley too, as DC scare pretty much everything! Hope this helps! :( Castiel

Lately I've reverted back to using the rhino rush to swarm objectives and place my mobile cover/blockers (rhinos) as I see fit  It's a fun tactic with the sanquinor's aura affecting a pile of troops, and creating a super sergeant. Volkmir
Well went to my store and of course they had neither razor backs nor rhinos :cuss. Also do the blood angles assault marines come from the normal box or is there one for blood angles?
Goober
Also do the blood angles assault marines come from the normal box or is there one for blood angles? I use DC/vanilla marine box sets for my assault squads, since you normally want 10 for a squad anyway it costs the same and looks way better IMHO. Extra bp and chain-sword arms can always be found.
Volkmir
So the assault marines only come in boxes containing only 5 assault marines <_< and cost 25 euros !!!!!! Thats's a bit steep for 5 assault marines I can understand that stromravens and land raiders being a bit of the expensive side but 25 euros for 5 marines is a bit too much ....... Maybe I should get tactical squads and get the bits from the internet to get them cheaper ?

The tactical squad box comes with power weapon, fist and all three special weapons. For a jump pack army you probably only want meltas but with the small razor back squads plasma and flamers are useful too. If you buy the DC box you get lots of assaulty and BA-specific bits, you can check out the sprues on GWs homepage. EDIT:never mind, pictures for the taq squad sprues seems to be gone from the site. Mutters
I started my Soul Drinkers as regular Space Marines, but I just didn't get that real RAWR feel from them. You get Chaplains as elites, Assaults as Troops, Super Apothecaries as elites (3 in 1 slot!, FnP bubble instead of per squad), storm ravens, and a mess of other goodies. The first thing I learned with Blood Angels is to learn how to use your speed. Don't spread yourself too thin and get focus fired. Use your speed to cross the board and gang up on people. Never fight a fair fight. :cuss

Make a list like a bully, and bring many big sticks to the fight.
Mutters
Yeah, Blood Angels play just as I envision the Soul Drinkers. Drop Podding everything, turning up the rhino engines to maximum, piling up the assault squads everywhere. After all, who does ship to ship boarding actions without a chainsword? Commander S. Caesare
Since the BAngels have the Storm Raven option, I say u have one of them on the field with a sternguard unit, 2 Dreads (preferably the Librarian and/or Frag-nought), a couple of tac squads (10 man) and 2 assault 'rines. Have some HQ unit with a jump to go with the assualts. That way, the assaults can DS, have the Raven drop to the assaults, the noughts to handle the vech's. It seems to be a stellar strike team.
