Very, very good looking Space Wolves you have there. I love the use of the FW bits on the wolf guard termi and your painting is very clean and crisp with just the right amount of weathering. That Wolf Lord is definately something special. The Frost axe is pure win. :tu:

I can't wait to see more and welcome to the Glorious B&C!

Thanks for the very warm welcome guys, it's been a long time coming in me actually posting something here but glad I've taken the plunge!

If you want to know the armour technique then you'll be happy to know I'll be posting a tutorial later on today, once I've finished writing it & sorted photos out!

I plan on doing some other tutorials on weathering & such later on too. Where is the best place to post these? On my hobby blog or elsewhere on the forum??

Cheers

Yeah dude, go for it! The yellow is:

1.) Bubonic Brown

2.) Wash 1:1 Gryphonne Sepia/Ogryn Flesh

3.) Build back up with Bubonic again.

4.) Highlight with 1:1 Bubonic/Bleached Bone.

5.) Edge Highlight pure bleached bone.

Hope this helps!

That vibrant yellow serious isn't anything but bubonic brown and bleached bone?

Very nice work frater ! Colorfull and pleasant (especially the reasonnable amount of battle damage and dusty effect).

- Unlike Ultramar boyscouts, all Russ's puppies are shouting & howling at the same time... Who's the officer in this mess ?

- The one with the megaphone I guess !

You should make a Sarge/Pup-guard with a megaphose at his belt 8)

Thanks for the comments guys, glad your liking the stuff, gonna add a stage by stage paint guide to the yellow onto my armour tutorial thread tomorrow, the key really is to do it over the white undercoat & the Bubonic Brown really just pop's!! It's great!

General update on painting front, these next few bits & bobs require the final highlights & fnishing touches but you get the idea.....

Wolf Priest Haarkon Fengir. I'm thinking of changing the head on him, might go for one of the Chaos Marauder Horsemen heads cus they're freaking feral as!

Long Fangs. These guys just need the final highlight on the armour & faces then they're complete.

Grey Hunters. The first two are the ones from before but the rest of the squad are comming along nicely, thinking of changing the banner for the wolf standard. When he gets painted the banner is going to be a modified Rangnar Great co. banner from the codex.

Also have plans for each of my terminator squads to have a 'squad leader' Wolf Guard, i.e. one that just looks like the leader of the unit even though theres specifically no one represented in game terms. My latest squad leader is going to be a Wolf Guard Terminator Great Comp banner bearer, using the FW Dreadnought banner it's going to have the Chapter Banner (SW codex pg 67) design freehanded onto it too. So looking forward to painting him!!

For now, sleep time. Happy trails boys & girls.
