Enzephalon
Hi folks, I finished my Reclusiarch. Started him a while ago but today was his big day. Gotta love this model. He is so epic I refused to do conversions on him. Comments are highly appreciated, as allways. http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2011/7/19/248811_md-Blood%20Angels,%20Conversion,%20Reclusiarch,%20Space%20Hulk,%20Terminator%20Armor.JPG http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2011/7/19/248812_md-Blood%20Angels,%20Conversion,%20Reclusiarch,%20Space%20Hulk,%20Terminator%20Armor.JPG http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2011/7/19/248813_md-Blood%20Angels,%20Conversion,%20Reclusiarch,%20Space%20Hulk,%20Terminator%20Armor.JPG FAMILY PORTRAIT ^^ http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2011/7/19/248814_md-Blood%20Angels,%20Conversion,%20Reclusiarch,%20Space%20Hulk,%20Terminator%20Armor.JPG Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/234522-painted-tda-reclusiarch/ Share on other sites
Redo
Fantastic model and brilliantly painted, better than what I could do...except for the Chaplin's green band on his Crozius Arcanum. Think brown would have been better. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/234522-painted-tda-reclusiarch/#findComment-2823269 Share on other sites
Enzephalon
Fantastic model and brilliantly painted, better than what I could do...except for the Chaplin's green band on his Crozius Arcanum. Think brown would have been better. It's a little too bright indeed. I will tone it down to make it pop less. Brown is no option because I do not want to add another colour to the palette I'm using on this squad. But thanks for sharing your advice. : ) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/234522-painted-tda-reclusiarch/#findComment-2823302 Share on other sites
Israfel
Awesome models and great paintnig Brother! I concur with the green crozius comments, you might consider going all gold as well :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/234522-painted-tda-reclusiarch/#findComment-2824029 Share on other sites
Elric the Silvercoat
You could the pachment color and make it look like there is writing on it. That would be interesting like the weapon had scrolls around it. The Crimson Cartel
You could the pachment color and make it look like there is writing on it. That would be interesting like the weapon had scrolls around it. ^ This is .... the Most interesting idea I've heard in a long while! :0 I just may have to steal that. - to the op, your new model is indeed top! This particular mini was the 1st 40k piece I ever picked up, and we'll...the rest is history ^_^ I think my only crit is his red shoes. I like all the other red pannels, except those. Top notch work though. -CC Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/234522-painted-tda-reclusiarch/#findComment-2824184 Share on other sites
Captain Semper
Excellent stuff!!! Don't worry about the green - looks fine. I like the angle of the storm bolter - it looks like recoiling between two shots! AustonT
You might try a maroon like scab or mechrite red. Try looking at pictures of worn burgundy leather. I like the green and I agree it breaks up the palette with all the brown on the base and the deep reds. Elric the Silvercoat
I also want to know where you found the Terminators they are extra detailed did you get them that way or did you make them that detailed? @Cartel If you do that can you send some picture of the finished model I would love to see that idea used. Enzephalon
@Israfel Thanks on the input. Gold might work as well. Maybe I try it out when I have a little less other projects and more time in general. @Elric Carzy idea. But I like it ^^ @The Crimson Yeah.. I heard that already. But I really do think the read shoes break up the darkness of the model, so I will stick with them. Glad you like the panels in general though. @Captain Semper I was worrying if the arm is too much pointing upwards, but I was kinda in a hurry when I glued on the arm. I'm really happy that have something positive tio say about it. @Auston T Are you referring to the Crozius thingy? @Alric again The terminators are from the Space Hulk Board game. I used Lightning Claws and Forge World shoulder pads to convert them into these wonderful BA Assault Termis. The Space Hulk miniatures are probably the most detailed and most beautiful Termis available for a BA army. Maybe for any army in general. Gotta love them, and it's a real shame that they are limited since Space Hulk itself was a limited release. AustonT
Yeah if you were even going to change the handle on the Crozius I would suggest a burgundy leather look. Very gothic and correct. But personally I like the green. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/234522-painted-tda-reclusiarch/#findComment-2824669 Share on other sites
