Captain Talon
Mid 2000's GW had a contest for making space marines. The winner used Chaos Warrior bodies from fantasy to make his Space Wolves. Anyone remember which issue that was??? I know I have it, but I have a ton of WD and I'd like to narrow it down..... Thanks for any help.... MeatGrinder
Was that the Chapter master competition? They weren't space wolves, but a simmilar chapter created for the competition but a member of GW staff. The poster above me is correct if memory serves, I'll dig it out in the morning and edit if I find what you're looking for. Remember, 300 is twice as thick as a normal edition when you're searching for it. I don't have all my stuff as I've moved twice since May 2010 and still don't have everything from my parent's house. Being married with a step-child in a small apartment with minimal storage means you don't always get to keep your old WD issues like you did when you just kept them in your parent's basement (as was my case). Captain Talon
Juct checked 300....while there are two examples of Chaos Warriors used for SM, these are not what I was looking for. The article was from a customer contest to make up your own chapter..the winners were either SW or a Norse looking chapter, painted dark grey. I believe the commander was made using the bigass Chaos Lord Archacon on foot model, which sadly I have lost.... MeatGrinder
I think I know the ones you were looking for. The commander was made from a grey knight body? And they had celtic spirals on the armour, which was dark metallic grey? I'll see if I can find them online. Edit: The server they were hosted on no longer exists, they were on the Northern europe Gw site. Another Edit: BINGO Sons of Thor Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/234558-old-timers-which-wd-had-the-cw-to-sw-conversions/#findComment-2823780 Share on other sites

Wolflord Patrick
I actually think it was older than that... Possibly the late 90's, but I remember a guy came up with his red and yellow color scheme for the Howling Griffons. Lexicanum lists them as the UK White Dwarf 284, so you can try there...
