Purple hurts my eyes...

Let me know about the color scheme. Tried to keep it nice and simple in hopes of finishing something for once.

The base is from BacktoBasix or whatever they are called on ebay.

Ive got another AOBR dread "Samson" hacked in a million peices to be reposed. Turned out to be alot more difficult than I had first thought.

Good job on the dread, might I suggest the use of Guitare strings to rebuild the cables you had to cut down in order to repositionnate I did it for my chap dread and it worked well

  • 4 weeks later...

So here is an update with the sternguard complete.

I switched the helmets on the vets to a bone color so that they will stand out from the other members.

Very nice scheme you have there - the dark red and dusty looking green work very well together.

Theres just one thing thats niggling me a little - I keep getting the urge to sing Jingle Bells for some strange reason............................. :(

................ They look amazing brother, what colours did you use for the red, its astonishing. Love the contrast of the vets helmets compared to the rest of them. Again amazing stuff; will be keeping a close eye on this.

Here is the WIP of the Rhino for this sternguard squad.

First attempt at some freehand. I think it came out ok. need to do some touch ups. Still quite a bit to do on this rhino.

Anyways the freehand is going to need some text. I am basing this army on a fist successor. Mostly because i have alot of fist bitz lol.

The Red is base of scab red, several coats.... Wash with devlan mud darkens it more and smoothens it out. First highlight scab red, 2nd highlight is scab red and Reaper blood red, 50/50. final highlight is pure reaper blood red. You have to go back and glaze with scab red to smoothen the transitions and tone down the pink the blood red dries to.

Thanks for looking.
