grimz Posted July 20, 2011 Share Posted July 20, 2011 So I played a friendly game against my mate the other day, it was against orks. Lists are at the bottom.. I'll keep everything short and sweet Game was 1850 points (actually 1810 since we both forgot about our reserved 40 pt "Cap the home objective squad"), mission was thunderhawk down. Game called on turn 6. Highlights: My Purifiers and Inquisitors brought the pain against the nobs, wiping them all out before they could even fight back. Only six of my guys got to attack as well due to poor positioning. Psychostroke Grenades let me reroll hits which was awesome, Str 5 vs T3 was pretty great too, finally I activated Force Weapons and wiped them all out. The squad then tanked 36 shots from lootas next turn. The remaining 3 Purifiers and Inquisitors then took a charge from a Boyz Squad, Sanctuary and Cleansing Flame softened them up first, then went about chopping them up. I was left with the two Inquisitors who proceeded to cut down the remaining squad (quite funny to see). My suicide melta "vets" worked together to smash the kans and a battlewagon, one squad survived and jumped back in their rhino to run to the objective and help secure it at the end. Lowlights: Poor positioning and not using my servo skulls properly meant my vindicaire was alphastriked on turn 1, he can definitely hold his own in combat, but failed to put on any wounds. One of my riflemen were popped first turn also, again my mistake I thought I had adequate cover alas I didn't Final rookie mistake, I didn't move a rhino full of GKSS far enough away which ended up getting surrounded and blown up by a boyz squad. They did manage to draw his final scoring unit so far away that he couldn't contest.
