How often do I PLAY?!? WHAT? There are games that go with these figures?!?

Seriously, I haven't played 40k in several years. Since right about the time when 4th edition came out, I played it once. After that, I kinda fell out of it for a while, but still paint every once and a while...

Not as much as I would like. Only have a few games under my belt. Hell, I would like to get more painting done but life has been intruding. My friends just had a baby so they were kinda out of the loop and the flgs isn't really an option too often with my schedule.

I used to play every weekend but now my regular opponent is busy. Lately, between work & my LGS doing other game events on the weekends I get to game maybe once every other week at best.

Brother Crazywolf, I sympathize, I don't get to paint much either since I got my job, I find that I'm just too tired in the evenings to get into it lately. I mean, after all, I spend 8+ hours a day doing demolition &/or construction 5 days a week so by the time I get home I'm just beat.

I know this isn't totally on topic but it might help some of you guys. You all sound like you want to get more games in but don't have the time or the opponents. One way to help this is vassal 40k. It is a free down load on your computer ( Mac or PC). It basically let's you play on the computer, using small sprites in a 2d world. There are usually at least a couple of guys there so you are un

Likely not to get a game. Also, it is quicker that dricing to your game store ,and cheaper as well.

As a finally advantAge it let's you use models/terrain that you wouldn't normally use, or play against.

Just a thought that could help some of you guys, though i know it wont be an option for some of you guys.

As for me, i try to get at least one game a week, though i have never been to a tourney.

P.S. I do t want this turing I to a love/hate vassal thread, so if you have an issue then start a new thread or PM me.

It was weekly but as of late it's been almost two months since i've played thanks to being busy and becoming incapacitated thanks to water intoxication. Now that my brain is functioning fully again I'm hoping to play this week with a full foot army.

looking forward to your army list and a battle report on your game. It's always nice to see a full foot army, *13th we miss you* it's a hard fight, but it's never an impossible one on foot! so please do a battle report, it would help some people out and we can all learn from it. Good to have you back and feeling better mister!!! have an ale or two or twelve on me :tu:

I usually try to get 1-2 games in a week, but of late I have been much more focused on the hobby aspect(painting some xenos up for kicks).

Right now most of the people at the LGS don't want to play my wolves because they are afraid of facing them. So, in order to get a game I have to pull out my Raptors strike force that I painted up for the Badab War campagin we had going on a couple months ago.

For me it varies tremendously. Over the summer period when it's festival season it is rare for me to get any games in unless it's at a friends place before we go out.

I tend to concentrate on mead, wimmin and music from May to August/September. Then from September onwards I usually try to find the time to play 2-3 times a month. Soemtimes more.

It depends on how succesfull the festival season was and how satisfied I am with my gym training.

I usually play Wed-Sun every week if I can, depending on my schedule. My 4 yr old son enjoys painting his own(he enjoys Howling Griffins) and playing. We recently finished a 5k team game of APOC Saturday, he used his orks, space marines teamed with my Ultramarines and a buddy playing Necrons and a buddy playing Nids with us VS Khorne and Daemons.
