deathwatch and belt of russ

if this has been answered before sorry to rehash it. would a wolf lord still keep the deathwatch shoulder guard after so long?

would have the belt of russ and a storm shield on the same model a waste of points?

i can believe a Wolf Lord using any shoulder design he chooses. if he would want the entire DW pad, then he would use it. its one of the good parts of being in charge.

and yes, a combo of belt of russ and storm shield would be a waste of points. it would also hinder the wolf lord, as the SS would take up the option of using 2 hand weapons when the BoR already provides a save.

ok kool thanks my wolf lord will use a storm bolter then. or would it be better to drop BoR and use a SS?

that question is entirely debatable.

some prefer the better save on the Wolf Lord provided by the SS, however some like the mass attacks you can get wiith the BoR.

WLK

wofl lords have a high ws and quite a lot of attack's.

so in imho, a SS is worth it.

a SS saved my lord alot of time'S

i like to use a wolflord, in runic-armour, FW/SS, saga of the bear and if i have the points

some other toy's

greets

As far as the Deathwatch should pad goes...go with it! They look really cool and flavorful on the table top. I have one on one of my Rune Priests. The Deathwatch fluff explicitly states that marines that have been allowed to return to their chapters bear the honor of retaining their DW pauldron. I can understand your question though since it would be a Wolf Lord and not a regular marine or a minor HQ.

Correct, this comes down to taste as the advantage of one of the other is probably too miniscule to account.

It may be good to model both options. And it would be fun!

Deathwatch pad I agree with WLK, he will do as he wishes. (although it would be nice, and fun again, to come up with a fluffy reason why he does so) Perhaps he is fighting with old comrades but not part of the DW but he wants to show solidarity based on being past brothers in arms. Or something like that.

In any case we will not debate it here.
