Having just noticed Andrew J decided to do a blog on "Desert Lions" so somewhat in a distressed mode! :D Primary option was "Desert Lions" obviously.. I am really strapped for what to do, I love working in grimey colors and weathering + light sourcing is my lovechild.. so help me out with some ideas, maybe some background snippets that will allow for some unique representations.. anything, clueless and working on the knight and can't think :) HELP! FIRE ANGELS!!!!!!! what i will say though is this.. if you do go the fire angel route you limit certain options due to their youth as a chapter (limits the amount of pre heresy stuff you can throw in for anyone other than vets + commanders etc and not a chance in blighty of the new forge world dread tbh.) i have a painting blog with some of my works on here.. so shameless plug for that and hopefully you determine what chapter you want to work with soon. You pictured them first, and put up more pictures of them than you did with the FA's and the IL's. And that means that you have already made your choice - doesn't it? Do the executioners. I ususally use a gore and dot of scorched with gryphonne sepia dab mixed in water effects B) almost got a command squad made (its all I have atm until people start trading or buying my crap from 40k online forums lol!) that and the Contemptor coming courtesy of Oli I like executioners the most from the colour scheme above, get to do some nuts free hand murals on the inset pads and sculpts of cherubs like on the chaplain up top! loads and loads of weathering and damage though B) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I got the tips for using it for blood spatters from fellow dane and GD Slayer Sword Winner Jacob Nielsen. You can check out his site here: http://www.jrn-works.dk/ He utilises tamaya inks extensively. Khargan Posted July 24, 2011 Author Share Posted July 24, 2011 So today I spent most of it being lazy infront of a bbq being cooked for me ala girlfriend, whilst making a bunch of storm giant lightning bolt symbols for Oli, along with a bunch of press mould icons for Executioners, prototyped the power weapon axes and tried to do some mini cherubs with skulls.. add to that the basis for 3 more contemptor weapon systems.. busy busy day!
