Coopervisor
I was looking over some different rules and noticed that the Prometheus can give +1 to any reserve rolls. Is this worth it to take in a majority DoA list, to add more certainty to when you will get your reserves? Anybody tried this before?
Xenith
The Prometheus would take it from a 3/4 chance to get them 2nd turn, to an 8/9 chance. But in return, you have a single tank sat alone on the table for possibly 2 opponents turns. Its a gamble, but Id say that the deepstrikers are already reliable enough with DoA. For the points, you could just take another unit of whatever it was you definitely wanted to be on the board turn 2.
AbusePuppy
Yeah, for the fairly ludicrous number of points the thing costs and its shoddy guns and abilities, you're better off just bringing more models. AV14 is tough, but it's quite possible it would get toasted in that one turn if it's facing down the entire enemy army, and more importantly the bonus just isn't worth it- you're already getting 75% of your guys, making it 89% isn't that big a difference and isn't worth giving up a large chunk of your force. Jumpers want to flood the table with bodies, and bringing a Prometheus pretty much directly contradicts that aim.
Coopervisor
I guess it's a big chunk of points. I suppose I was looking at it more in a hybrid list rather than pure DoA. But for the points it doesn't seem to be worth it.
