Pretty neat, thanks

Just to share a good idea that I stole from a buddy is buying stiff felt from a craft store, then cutting an outline of a Drop Pod, Rhino and LR sized vehicles.

When a vehicle is destroyed remove the tank and slap down the piece of felt, you can now use it as a crater or dangerous terrain without fear of models falling off or wondering exactly where the tank was.

I bought black felt, cut jagged edges and used a marker to make it look more like a crater. Nice thing is the felt will fit into your army carrying case to use for tournaments and the like.

Oh that reminds me, I found a link to these pre-made wrecked vehicle pieces a few weeks ago. If you want something fancier they look like just the thing.

Yes, they are awesome. The only thing I see missing is a "Falling Back" marker.

And They Shall Know No Fear....

But yeah, you are right. I usually just turn the models to face the other way, and unless its a horrible game I usually only have 1 pack falling back and can track it.

But good suggestion, any others?

Also really love the ruined vehicle craters, much better than GWs weird craters that don't allow models to stand up easily.

You're lucky. It always seems to come up in our games that we need to track at least 1 Marine squad that is falling back and some Wych or Tyranid Gaunt squad is chasing it across the board.
