Scout sergeant wargear

Hi all,

This is probably an easy question to answer but I need some clarification.

 

I was running a scout squad with a powerfist + combiflamer sergeant.

 

The guy I was playing said that you can only put a powerfist OR a combi weapon on a scout sergeant.

 

I'm not the arguing type so we just pretended that one of my rhinos had a hunter killer missile instead to keep things fair.

 

But I'm pretty sure that he was perfectly legal.

 

Can someone tell me if this is so and also how to back myself up with the rules!

The sergeant is armed with a bolter and bolt pistol. He may replace his bolter AND/OR bolt pistol with one of the following; etc

 

You were perfectly legal.

 

And/Or means just what it says. You can replace the bolter with a weapon, OR a bolt pistol with a weapon. Alternatively you can replace the bolter AND bolt pistol with two weapons. Ask him how a captain would get a pair of lightning claws, a thunder hammer and storm shield, power weapon and plasma pistol - the wording is identical.

yup thats correct a scout sergeant can have both, a scout biker sergeant however can only have the one option
