Forté
Keeping it neat which is good but it may be tricky getting a good finish with the undercoat as chipped. Good taste in films too  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/235177-my-wip/#findComment-2832404 Share on other sites

Good taste in films too  lol thanks. and the undercoat was a test to see if it would work as a primer. but thanks its been a while since i painted so it will take me a bit to get back to where i was. red_starrise
That's always been the biggest thing I hate about metal models is their tendency to chip. That & how big of a pain in the ass they can be to convert. But it's a good start. I too have been away from the hobby for a grip (over 4 years in my case) so I know what you mean about getting back in the saddle again. Forté
It's a nightmare getting back into the swing of painting. Had a few years out myself and its like having to learn all over again. That and the time it takes to paint something goes through the roof! Coverfire
Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and a Jet Li film? Last Hero in China perhaps. Not many creative criticisms to make as Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz were both excellent films.. Perhaps adding a bit more detail is all I can say as I couldn't see what the other dvds were... P.S. If it is Jet Li I would highly recommend Kiss of the Dragon or Romeo Must Die Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/235177-my-wip/#findComment-2832809 Share on other sites
Forté
@Coverfire....not sure on your Jet Li recommendations. Fist of Legend, Legend of Long Sai Yuk and Once Upon a Time in China are much better. As for Hot Fuzz (not talking about Logans beard)....bring the noise!!!! Back on topic though. Keep the updates coming and comparisons to the finecast one you have would be great. Blacksad
for painting metal models, it's a good idea to add a soaplike substance to your water. don't know if you have it where you live, but I use "dreft", it's a degreasing agent thing used for doing the dishes. for some reason it helps the paint dry neatly on the metal, and prevents it from cracking. if you use that when applying your basecoat, then finnish the painting and put on a varnish, your model should be safe-ish. btw: Jet Li movies, "The one"!!! and ofc Lethal Weapon 4(I think it was 4) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/235177-my-wip/#findComment-2833342 Share on other sites
Chef Wulfen
where i live in the summer i couldnt get ahold of black primer so i went with the next best thing i guess it was a black spray paint. but it was more to see if it would work then anything.
