Conversion Prospects

So I saw this today on the main site and I'm really eager to see them in person to verify my thoughts.

IMO, there's some really nice conversion pieces in the new kits. There's a new raven sculpt in the Garden of Morr kit that might be nice for making a Chooser model. But the bigger intrigue is with this guy in the Terrorgeist kit:

This looks like a more than decent base for a Mark of the Wulfen model to be converted from. By itself, the whole kit is costly, but if you know someone who only plans to use the kit as a vampire count on zombie dragon, then that guy might simply go to waste.. wouldn't hurt to snatch him!

Anyways, if anyone ends up getting a better look at him before I do, feel free to toss out some thoughts on this.

The raven in that "Garden of Morr" isn't something new, it's yet another recycled piece from Warhammer Fantasy, Empire General kit. Just as the Vampire Counts tomb banshee (IMO lazy sculpting) is the same template as the new Dark Elf Sorceress, for the Storm of Magic set. Also the raven from the Lord of Nurgle, is yet another recycled piece for the "Walls and Fences" fantasy scenery kit.. you get the idea.

As for the Terrorgeist kit. I can see the potential, but IMO... from the torso-up, it's just a nicer version (better muscle toned model, better face, more human body) of a Vampire Counts ghoul. It's gonna need allot of green stuffed fur and broken armor pieces. If you have a good eye, and know-how/vision... I think anyone here can do an equal amount of work, on other maybe even better and cheaper pieces/bits and still get the desired results, and with far more pieces to work around with. Don't get me wrong, it would make for a great wulfen/MotW piece but I like to have variety, and options pieces for models than committing to a single expensive piece, especially if you can't find a single bit piece of it.

I think that would work out great(I was thinking the same thing)

I was this last weekend what you think?

Wow that looks nuts! I can already hear all my Long Fangs cheering for joy, while turning off their sights :P ;)
