Toasterfree Posted August 1, 2011 Share Posted August 1, 2011 Well I won all three games, the first two were by small margins (had a knock down blood fest against DE round one and out shot and maneuvered tau in the second) and crushed my third round (a kill points game against IG with out a ton of tanks). Didn't get a ton of points over all. First time playing in a tourney like that and I got 8th out of 14. Not a great placing but I feel proud none the less. I know the list know and it needs some work so I will tweak it up and hopefully the next 2k tourney that I play in it goes tons better! Did you win primary/secondary? How many kill points did you score, vs how many you gave away? also, i looked around and didnt see your army list. I'm curious as to how mine would stack compared to yours. would you mind posting it? We won the doubles so there was glory for the wolves there. You were lucky to avoid Grey Knights too. I can't walk into my store without tripping over a hundred GK armies. Remember Russ and the Allfather only care for want you have done not what the crazied Marines or dirty Xenos did. Best highlight I had was in the first game where Vect and his horde of wycthes (about 7) came in and killed one of my GH units holding an objective. I luckily had a unit with my WP there, as well as two RP near by. They all shot and killed most of the wytches and then charged in on the rest. Vect won the first two rounds of combat where one by one my RP ran but I was able to knock down his field. my WP stood his ground long enough to allow the RP to come back into the fray and slay the dreaded xenos. The sacrifice of the WP will be noted in the hall of honor. Played tau in the second mission. we tied on primary, and I ended up taking secondary by 1 KP. I dont remember the number, it was low though. He had WAY to much plasma to try and get close so I just used my speed (until my trucks were down) to reduce the number of shots he got and just weathered the storm. He did eventually get his path finders to where their marker lights would be in range, but by that time my scouts came in and wiped them out. which took almost all of his shooting off of me for a turn to solidify my hold on two of the table quarters. I forgot about a downed piranha :( which kept his hold on one quarter but I killed the kroot that were in a crater. So...now I know why you didnt turn up or the doubles tournament...
