RunePriestWoten
Wolf Brothers but they were destroyed, or deemed traitor etc. Space wolf geneseed was deemed to unstable and was thus not used in any future foundings. best bet is to make a non chaos renegade great company that has left the fold and changed their heraldry. hope that helps. Grimtooth
GW gave the storyline to most Space Marine chapter that successors were created from the original genestock of the founding chapter. This allows XXX Space Marine chapters to be created on whim. The mechanic that GW used with the SW is that the geneseed is too unstable to create successors, but they have written into the storyline that SW companies can shoose to leave the chapter on their own hunts or whatnot. While it isn't a successor, the result is the same. Lost companies can take many shapes and forms while still being part of the fluff and using the SW codex without a problem. Torvak Kyre
If he wanted to he could do the Wolf Brothers. Most were destroyed but some still live. Or you could do them from an earlier stage, M36 maybe. It's your army you can do what you want. ezekiel09
I am working my Space Wolves as the Direwolves, using Black and Grey. I was wondering about the successor thing as well... Thanks Oh and I love Space Wolves but hate the colors. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/235402-wolf-successors/#findComment-2835475 Share on other sites

Roland Durendal
I just run mine as a lost Company - they left the Fang many years ago on a Great Hunt and haven't yet returned. It's based off the historical Varangian Guard and the song by Amon Amarth "Varyags of Miklagaard" Armor wise I do a basic Fortress Grey armor, darkened and "muddied" with Devlan Mud down due to constant war and damage Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/235402-wolf-successors/#findComment-2835500 Share on other sites
