thats what i'm choosing, the distinction betweeen the companies is simply the right inset which will be different, since green is a very salamanders colour as a whole those are ideas for somethign different

I recommend going with one color scheme for your rank-and-file marines. :D Will make it MUCH easier on you later should you decide to "give this squad a missile launcher this time instead of that squad." Also, add more to it. Drop the single color. Hit the Lexicanum and look up Nova-marines and Storm Lords to get ideas on what parts to paint different colors.

If you hesitate between several colors, try a halved or quartered scheme by combining them... Novamarines, Howling Griffons, Brazen Claws, Dark Sons: all good examples of schemes that work well !

As for the double colours.. >.< my not sure perhaps.. but i'd rather keep it to one whole colour.

 

i liked the red.... and the yellow funnly enough, but had an imperial fisty feel to it.

I liked the purple, it's very different to the normal colours. I would recommend avoiding red, yellow, blue, green, grey, black and white as they are all associated with first founding and famous chapters! try mixing them with different coloured arms and legs or something, see what takes your fancy ;)

Hmm gave the mixing a shot, its red ;) don't hit me, its just easy to splash on a white base! ><

You could do it at the top of the yellow leg, it might look cool! Also loving the different coloured captains, 'tis indeed a sweet idea!

Not exactly my cup of tea but it is good, and you wont be mistaken for a 1st founding chapter. If it were me I'd probably go with either both legs yellow or both arms not one and one but to each his own right.

i think there would be a shortage of Terminator armour and dreadnaughts in this chapter.. being relitivly new i can't see them having such artifacts.. or atleast many of them

I disagree, I think it looks great as it is! And liking the Captains as well, they are very cool looking, and they'll stand out on the battlefield! :confused:
