I'd quite like to see the iron-priest on thunderwolf. It feels like something you could really go to town on.

Diorama...... Jarl and his retinue sat around the Grand Annulus, still in their damaged and charred war plate. Listening to a skald re-count the sagas of the fallen. Can sneak one of the ancients in that piece as well

combine 40k with a bit of Warhammer by having a Wolf Priest choosing a potential blood claw froma battle between two Fenrisian tribes.

 

Neither would be a small piece though. I like the idea of the LF pack sat with their Razorback mentioned earlier

pulling from some of these ideas, I'm thinking about a contemptor duel; one space wolf, one thousand sons, on prospero, and have them locked in a flat out brawl to the death.

Make it where the SW one had ripped the arm off the Thousand Sons one and was beating it will it. I think it would add something different to the scene that we havn't seen before.

 

They would both be well and truly "effed up", though not so much that you couldn't see all the freehand added to both models. :ph34r:

 

In my head right now, I've got the wolf barreling the kson to the ground while he's rending at the wolf's plates trying to get inside the sarcophagus.

 

I'm shooting for capturing the most dynamic second of the fight.

 

I've always had the idea of converting up a slightly oversized Bjorn with an Assault Cannon going head-to-head with a Tyranid Carnifex, his Power Fist gripping the Carnifex somewhere, unloading the Fist-Mounted Storm Bolter into it, while modelling an "action sequence" of Assault Cannon fire just ripping up the thorax of the Carnifex (So straight wire, with a multiple resin/GS bullet trails, puncture blasts ripping into the body with splatter, etc).

 

Going with the T.Sons vs SW dread duel, the image that comes to mind is a FW SW Dread with a Plasma Cannon and Power Fist. The T.Sons Right weapon arm hanging torn half from it's socket, one leg on the SW Dread Crippled, and the SW Dread's P.Fist gripping the P.Fist arm of the T.Sons dread, as it blasts open the front of the Sarcophagus with a point blank Plasma Cannon shot (So you create a Resin/GS Plasma Blast just punching straight into the front of the T.Sons dread).

 

To Top it off, you could have them standing on a pile of corpses / in a field of bodies & wreckage, T.Sons & SWs, like a final stand of the two heaviest combatants in some desperate to-the-death confrontation between SW & T.Sons forces.

but the otber idea i had for it was have the long fangs sitting around a fire on the eve of battle like they are postion waiting. with the RB back door open so u can see all the weapons racked so they could choose what is needed.

I like this idea a lot, but the standard Rhino/Razorback model is about half as big as it should be compared to a standard marine model. Look inside at the little hatch that leads to the cockpit if you want proof... you'd have to scratchbuild a Razorback for this idea. Still, if anyone has the chops to do it...

Now it's down to what I can get the models for, and when I can find the time to get it done. That's all up in the air, but we'll see what the next year holds for me.

The only problem with the Chooser is that it needs to be pretty clear what is happening since some people might not be aware of that aspect of our chapter. Like,

 

You: "This is my diorama of the Gates of Morkai ritual."

 

Judge: "Gates of what?"

How about a greyhunter with the mark of the wolfen standing on his knees all dirty and bloody from enemy blood howling at the sky. Can imagen me that with the arms stretched out from the body. And of course are the weapons holstered or trown on the ground beside him.

How about a space wolf boarding action. the dead and wounded, shattered by the defensive fire, while space wolf packs leap over barricades and shatter counter attacks in the narrow confines of the corridors. Could be multi-level, due to the nature of the terrain involved.
