The estimates range from approximately 1200 to as high as 2400 due to the nature of the Space Wolves not strictly conforming to the Codex Astartes. How many Space Wolves per each Great Company? The Space Wolves codex tells us that Wolf Lord Ragnar's company is over 200 and is the second largest behind the Great Wolf himself. Estimates are 120-200 per each Great Company. What is the Canis Helix? The Canis Helix is the genetic legacy of the Space Wolves Primarch, Leman Russ. It is responsible for giving the Space Wolves their enhanced senses, growth of fangs, leathery skin, feral nature, and a genetic resistance to Chaos. Being highly potent, it is also responsible for the death of many Space Wolf aspirants and transformation of Space Wolves into Wulfen. Do the Space Wolves have any successor chapters? The Space Wolves do not have any active successor chapters. Who are the Wolf Brothers? The Wolf Brothers were the only attempt by the Space Wolves to create successor chapters. Fluff has them being written out of history via several mechanics including banned for genetic instability, lost in the webway, and corrupted by the Daemon-Primarch Magnus the Red of the Thousand Sons. Can any unit type take Saga of the Hunter? No, only unit type infantry can take Saga of the Hunter. <please submit via PM> Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/235611-bc-space-wolves-forum-faq-version-20/ Share on other sites

Valerian
If I can make the WD reference into a Librarium article, I can list it as a SW Librarium article in this thread. Although not nearly as comprehensive as Wolf Lord Duregar's, the following is what I consider to be the list of the most significant White Dwarf articles related to Space Wolves background material (all US versions; don't know what the UK versions are): - 156 and 157 (Dec 92 and Jan 93), established the "modern" Space Wolves as we know them. -244, 245, and 246 (May, June, and July of 2000), all of the fluff that was left out of the newly released 3rd Edition minuses were in articles in these three issues. There is some terrific stuff in here, as well as a copy and paste from the old issue 156 article. -258 (July 2001) has the Space Wolves IA article, which is largely a rehash of earlier work seen in 156 and 246. -283 (August 2003) has the 13th Company Index Astartes article, with the Saga of Jorin Bloodfang.
