I think the phrase "That was nuts" can safely be applied. That was the most epic round ever. I still can't believe I'm up. I'll be charging Wysten, then.

Funny that, last round I did nothing, but pull myself a chair, drink and watch the fight for a bit. Sure you not had a little too much to drink, pup? Heheh, just messing.

 

Not sure how you will get in contact with me next turn though. I will probably be dead by the sounds of what I am doing.

:: The Turn Sequence ::

1) Movement. A player moves similar to a rook and bishop in chess; moving any number of squares along rank, file, or diagonal

2) Shooting. (OPTIONAL, may go directly into combat if user wishes) Players can throw weapons available in each square tile in the map, weapons that consist from bottles, chairs, tables and the occasional Blood Claw. Shooting causes the player to be stunned and pinned.

3) Close Combat. Each user has the option to tag-team, or fight other users occupying a single tile in close combat. Once a player fails his save, he continues fight on with the following negative modifiers (-1 attack, -1 initiative) until he fails his leadership test.

Each member is responsible for giving out their instructions to their pack leader (alpha). Players have a total of 24hrs (12hrs North American side, 12hrs European/Asian side) to submit their instructions to keep the brawl running smoothly. once everyone's locked in combat the pase of the brawl may increase. Passed out or inactive members during the brawl are given a specified time to react (24hrs). If we hear nothing from the user, his character is then stripped, shaven, de-fanged, dressed as a Dark Angel marine and thrown out of the tavern, and is therefore referred to as an oath breaker! It's just that simple.

:: The Rules ::

1) Indicate your character's location and actions to a designated bartender/servitor. Post your instructions, it helps keep track of everyone on the trend and keeps everyone entertained at the same time. Lastly... PRAY to the dice gods!

2) Only five users may occupy one tile. Each character has the Independent special rule.

3) Users have an option to join a pack of up to a limit of 5 members. Your pack may team up with several other packs. The more the better! start a gang just in case other Astartes chapters decide to crash our party. Just remember, at the end of the night there can only be one man standing. Even if your team manages to be the victor of the night, the pack needs an alpha. Therefore to run your pack, you have to fight for the title.

4) Close combat weapons are temporary and are destroyed or left behind as your character moves onto the next tile. You can throw weapons, which counts as your shooting.

5) Once a user fails his armour save, a leadership roll is made to see if the drunkard can still stand and fight with negative modifiers (-1 WS, -1 A, -1 I) the drunkard breaks off from combat and restarts at a safe location. Once a user fails his final armour save, the character is rendered unconscious and is therefore subject to being used as a weapon by anyone in the tile or can be used as an ablative wound. ie. imagine a drunken Blood Claw being used by a long fang as a weapon

6) )mjod, before each round all the brawlers that are not locked into combat need to state wether they wish to drink a stein of mjod. incase of no answer it will be assumed they didn't drink any for that round. Should a brawler drink the mjod before the start of the turn a single D6 is rolled to see what effect the mjod has on the brawler. the results of the roll are descriped underneath and will last for the following D6 turns to represent the longer effect of the mjod inside the wolf his blood. Any brawler can opt to drink mjod in another turn, even if the previous mjod is still in effect. the D6 diceroll for the result however gets rolled with a -1 modifier, the third mjod with a -2 modifier etc. this to represent the increasing chance of getting pissdrunk

-6- the mjod kicks into action and the brawler start to feel capable of doing anything, the rouse is so complete he's unaware of pain and will only feel the bruises the next morning.- for the following game turn the brawler gains the feel no pain rule

-5- slowly starting to get drunk the brawler becomes more and more aggresive, getting fustrated easier and even more easy to jump into combat.-for the following game turn the brawler gains the furious charge special rule.(this bonus stacks with the furious charge of stormclaws)

-4- in an attempt to gain the upper hand the brawler breaks his stein after downing the mjod so he can use it as an extra weapon.- for the following game turn the brawler gains +1A

-3-2- the mjod seems to have no effect on the brawler

-1- the mjod gains the upper hand of the brawler, and his visage begins to blur as the combat ensues.before the start of the round the brawler become -1 WS and -1BS.

7) The last three drunkards remaining, become league members. If one of those players is already a League member, then it defaults to the next non-league member. League championship upgrades teams or characters to the following: Wolf Guard, Iron Priest, and Storm Claw.

8) The last man standing, wins the game and earns the title of Inglorious Brawler.

1) Brawlers who wish to strike at a Wolf Scout (shooting or close combat) must first roll Ld to see if he can attack the Wolf Scout

2) Disarm and Stun. During any combat, a Wolf Scout may attempt to disengage. The Wolf Scout rolls a D6: On a result of 4+, the Wolf Scout may redeploy anywhere on the battlefield after the combat round is resolved.

1) Double Tap. Long Fangs gain the ability to shoot two attacks per tile

2) Fire Control. Allows other Long Fangs who are sharing a tile, gains an added shooting attack to their Double Tap special rule.

ex. 3 Long Fangs sharing a tile, have a total of 9 shooting attacks

1) Combat Tactics, Tactical Marines get rerolls on any leadership rolls they are required to take,picking the last result.

2) Of Sound Mind and Sound Body, Tactical Marines may reroll their MJOD roll, choosing the highest result

TURN VIII

Mjod rolls:

Arez the piss-drunk:1, lasts another 6 turns. Arez is now WS1, BS1!!!! Until turn 14!

Chef:4,becomes 3,lasts 2 turns.

Hrothgar: 2, remains 5 turns.

Wyrsten; 1, remains until turn 9

As Hrothgar puts down his mjod a single stein hurled by wyrsten smashes into the iron priest his armour. Warned by the shot hrothgar see wyrsten, chef and felix running towards him! Barely making his ld-test the iron priests shrugs of his doubts and counterattacks the horde trying to take him down! As he lands 2 solid blows on wyrsten only one manages to get past the scout his armour. The Stunned scout makes his armour save though and prepares himself for his turn. Meanwhile felix lands 3 blows on hrothgar, wounding with one. The rinon priest makes his save and now runner,wyrsten (5motw) and chef team up against the iron priest, landing a solid 13 blows on the iron priest (chef 6, runner 4,wyrsten 3), wounding with 10! (chef 4, runner 3, wyrsten 3). The iron priest takes the saves and fails two! One from wyrsten, the other from chef. He shrugs off both wounds however and now fights on stunned! Wyrsten tries to break free but fails to do so, with hrothgar pinning him in place with his iron visage.

TURN IX

Mjod rolls:

Arez: another 1, lasts 1 turn, Arez is still piss drunk until turn 14

With almost every warrior being stunned at tile I1 the combat promises to be hard!Felix scores a single wound upon the iron priest but the old git makes his save (6). Feeling the urge to strike down the wolf scout hrothgar forfaits his normal attacks and strikes the scout down like a hammer of fenris (made his ld-test,to hit 5, to wound 3). Wyrsten tries to withstand against the blow but rolls a 4! Rolling a 9 on his ld-test wyrsten is now OUT COLD! But not before he manages to strike twice at the iron priest,unfortunately the blow has knocked any strength out of the scout, for neither of his blows manage to score a wound. Meanwhile runner and chef exploit the fact that the iron priest focused himself upon wyrsten, with chef landing 3 wounds on the iron priest and runner 2. The iron priest makes all his saves but one(1,3,3,5,5). Failing his ld-test the iron priest comes down! Hrothgar is now OUT COLD!!!!

With arez being so drunk he can barely stand straight postal is the fist to jump into the brawl. Teaming up with his old teammate they will try to bring down Chef and Runner, who both just need a nod to decide that they’ll help eachother. Striking first Felix and Postal score a solid 3 blows (postal 2, felix 1). Felix wounds Chef while Postal wounds Runner once. Chef makes his save (4) and so does runner (6). Chef strikes back with the wulfen upon him(6), landing a solid 6 blows on Felix!scoring 3 wounds the tactical marine takes his saves and fails one. Luckily for felix he makes his ld-test (8), Felix is now STUNNED! Meanwhile runner hits postal twice(4,5), wounding him twice (6,6). Postal takes the saves and fails one!(5,2). The grey slayer makes his ld-test and fails it( 10). Postal is now OUT COLD!

TURN XI

Mjod rolls:

Arez: 2 becomes a 1, lasts 5 turns, arez will remain pissdrunk until turn16!!!

As arez charges into the fray he lunges all his attacks at chef! Scoring two wounds (1,5,6!) the pissdrunk grey slayer manages to wound the grey hunter twice!(6,4) Chef makes his saves and continous to ignore the greenhorn, instead aiming for a less drunk opponent (1-3,attack arez, 4-6 attack felix, rolled a 5). Rolling only a 1 on his motw roll the grey hunter hits felix once.(1,4). His blow hits the nightmarine square in the face (4) and forces felix to take a save.

Returning the favor Felix hits chef twice, wounding the hunter twice(6,6).

Meanwhilst runner wounds arez once, but the pissdrunk warrior easely makes his save (5).

Felix fails his save and also fails his ld-test (10), felix is now OUT COLD, Chef makes his saves and fails one of them(1,4). He rolls his ld-test and fails it (11). Chef is now OUT COLD!!! But since both combatants struck eachother simultaneously it’s now a contest between the two warriors to see who will remain on his feet the longest.

The brawler rolling the highest will be the one that remains standing the longest. The tension is rising in the meadhall! Everything goes silent as the dice are rolled

TURN XII

It’s a clash of titans! Runner the whelp vs Greenhorn the pissdrunk! Still having the higher I arez strikes first, landing a single blow on runner(2,5). Arez wounds Runner and the whelp is forced to take a save! Runner makes his save and strikes back! Hitting arez once (5,2) and wounding once (5). Arez takes his save but fails it!(1) the pissdrunk warrior takes the ld-test and BAM! Double 6!!!! AREZ IS OUT COLD!!!!!

Stunned , bleeding through his nose and missing a few teeth runner stands alone in the mead hall. Before the whelp can fall exhausted on the floor a thundering voice resonates inside the tavern.

“This is it lads! Runner the whelp has earned himself a new title! From now on he shall be known as Runner the INGLORIOUS BRAWLER!!!!"

League members are Arez and Felix!!!!

Zynk stands up, pushing his cape behind him, dual hearts pumping from the suspense

 

It is beyond all reason and tactical doctrine that Arez could have made it that far! Zynk calms down Regardless, congratulations Runningwolf.

It's a shame I couldn't get Postal into the top three with Felix and Arez like I planned. Damnable Murphey's law. At the very least I hope we thoroughly avenged Nrth. Maybe I can get some honor guard rules in just to make it worth while :)
