*growls and fingers the haft of her axe*

Ok elders, don't make me have to prove that this pup has fangs before i lull you into thinking i'm utterly harmless! Milk! *shifts a hand over her mead horn* Just try it and see how many fingers you pull back....

I did a bit of work on his teeth and will get some pictures up in a bit. I think it has helped the overall look of his mouth/face.

did you just call greenhorn an elder?

REALLY???

don't give greenhorn(arez) too much credit whelp, he's still green behind his ears too ;)

on a side note, maybe you should consider joinging in with the rest of the whelps in the inglorious drunkard brawl

also looking forward to the new dental work

dizzy-xc : I did it in sections working from the hindquarters towards his head, allowing each section to cure before starting on the next. I've been thinking of giving a grey i'm working on a fur over his shoulder/back so i could use that as a small-scale tutorial.

I clipped back his front teeth a good bit, leaving the canines long.

*dips her head* I recognise my failing and will be sure to correct it.

I saw that thread and it interests me a great deal being a avid role player. Who would be willing to show a new pup around the bar?

I will if you wish.

Awesome wolf.when are you going to be selling packs? :)

@hendrik, don't bait the Greenhorn. I know it's hard to resist but once he does, the threads usually get out of topic. Let's try and not do that to her thread. A daughter of Fenris deserves better! This is a wonderful thread. Let's try to keep it on topic for her.

@Euphrati, would like to know more about you in general. Like your background in the hobby. Have you played much? How did you get into 40K and such. You should join in at the tavern brawl. It's the best way to learn and get to know everyone here! don't think you've met the mighty bearded Blood Clas Nrth either. Anyway, yes we are looking forward to your tutorials. I'd like to see your regular troops. I've noticed you've added some nice little accents on them.

Nrth and Postal would love this sculpt I'm sure. Defo get on the Drunkards topic. Get to know the others pups (and pups/whelps includes me, Arez, MavGirl (Skadi), Postal, Nrth and more).

New teeth look much better.

Welcome to the Fang, Euphrati.

Your abilities with greenstuff make me want to kill myself (not really though). I look forward to seeing what else you you produce.

End of Line

I was introduced into the 40k world back in late 1999-early 2000. As I mentioned before, I'm a role player at heart -pen&paper, larping, medieval recreation. The local game store at the time was host to both the larp group I was with and Warhammer/WH40k groups. I met and started dating a guy there who did both and ended up getting into fantasy to start as he was building an army in that side of the game. A month later he was issued orders to Korea for a year (Army) and I was headed off to college so models got packed away. We toughed out the long distance relationship (and DLI, and MI training) and in 2004, after being moved to Hawai'i, he stopped being my boyfriend and started being my husband :) He was the one that really introduced me into 40k as he started back in rogue trader days (his father was back and forth to London with work and brought him models home as gifts when he was younger). i found that the darker, gritter aspect was really to my liking so we decided to get armies together... and he recieved orders to deploy to Afghanistan. Everything got packed up yet again as I returned to my hometown in South Carolina while he was gone. Six months went by and I got the call that he had been injuried. The next few years were rather a blur between dealing with his injury, medical discharge, and the arrival of our son. Even though the minis remained packed away, throughout it all we kept our collection of 40k books growing. Well, the wulfen-child is now 4... and I finally have time/space to actually finish 'starting' on my army!

Basically I'm working from the ground up on this. I've only played a handful of times (and that was years ago with tyranids) so in aspects of the game I'm quite green, but in aspects of the canon I'm pretty solid. I'm a graphic artist so my love is the painting and creation side of things but I really want to learn the game to stomp my husband now and then too as I will be working on an army for him as well- once he decides what he wants that is!

Oh, and I'm a member of a local medeival group so on Sundays I really am a shield maiden. I normally fight one-handed axe/shield but this past Sunday I was breaking in a new mace (and currently sporting the bruises of learning a new guard style) that I will be two-stick fighting axe/mace and hold rank of Tournament Champion in archery with my long bow.

I'm going to try and get some time tomorrow to take pictures what I have so far model-wise.

how green do you have to be to get moss behind the ears??? i've heard the term wet behind the ears but green?? that place must be moist as hell.

More recreation, less reenactment as reenactment details actually taking historical events and playing them out again. We have some members who lean more towards fantasy but we are slowly pulling them back down to reality.

The group itself is fairly young in founding so we are still hammering out the details of what we want to become but our fighting style is closer to Dagorhir than to SCA combat (stiff padding vs. fully rattan weapons). We would like to get everyone to the level of fully armoured combat at some point.

It was an Exceptionally long day. Sorry about slipping a bit off topic there- Let's see if I can't get this back on track with some Grey Hunters I'm working on-

The two basecoated proved hard to get the lighting right on. I'm gong for a 'stalking through the rubble' feeling.

To paraphrase, its not the size of the wolf in the fight, its the size of the fight in the wolf. Give him a good back story about how fierce he is despite his size. maybe some Iron Priest "enhancements" to let him carry a rider, and go from there. Beautiful work.
