Contemptor Dread conversions

Recommended Posts

I just got mine in the mail today, first Forgeworld purchase btw (I don't like the fact they don't give directions! Spent 15 minutes just trying to figure out where everything goes...), and I'm wondering how I'm going to convert it for my Night Lords. I'm thinking GS on the powerfists to turn them into claws but other than that I've no idea really. I was thinking spiky stuff from the chaos vehicle sprue but it doesn't look like there's really anywhere to put them. Anyone have any ideas or done any conversions yet? If anyone's done any, even loyalist ones I'd like to see them. The model itself is really nice and any painted or converted ones would be cool to see.

Arm/weapon swaps are pretty easy. That's what I've done with mine:

There are also a few threads in the WIP section on this site where people have added GS and bits to the torsos to make them stand out.

This is what I did with mine up until a couple days ago:

Since then Ive changed the loincloth and added some more bits and bobs to make him stand out as the venerable warmachine that he is.

Love the stubby "your next" pointing finger.

@Coopervisor: Many thanx for that. I bought one of those Sallie arms on the off chance that it might fit and you have confirmed it. Most excellent.

My intention is to have the normal fist on one side with a flamer and the sallie arm on the other. It is to represent a GK dread with DCCW-flamer/TL heaver flamer. It will be transported by a Storm Raven.

I'm even more jazzed I have one of these puppies now.

Cheers,
