skoll
Im starting conversion on a wulfen lord to head my thirteenth company warband allies for apocalypse games. Now I know some of you see wulfen as more bestial men as opposed to full werewolves. However Im more partial to the full werewolf image. With that in mind, I was thinking of having the model in still mostly marine armor striding forward with two axes (blood stained ofc ;) ) But Im having trouble choosing a head. which one do you brothers is most suitable for what I 'm describing http://store.privateerpress.com/ProductImages/circle/units/DR-3098-J.jpg http://store.privateerpress.com/ProductImages/circle/units/DR-3098-C.jpg http://store.privateerpress.com/ProductImages/newparts/circle/DR-3207C-400.png or http://store.privateerpress.com/ProductImages/circle/units/DR-3098-K.jpg thanks for the input Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/235960-need-an-opinion-on-a-head-for-a-wulfen/ Share on other sites
MaveriK
I like the first one, but it wouldn't really matter because it all depends on how you do the body. The head has to work with the body! it can't look awkward or out of place and the neck has to look believable. I also have a Wulfen Lord, named Bloodfang. MeatGrinder
The first one, definately. It has that angry feral look. The others are a little too calm for a wulfen in the heat of battle. mactire
the second one has that leather mask [horus heresy rout] if you painted it as such i think it would look pretty cool :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/235960-need-an-opinion-on-a-head-for-a-wulfen/#findComment-2842614 Share on other sites
Elric the Silvercoat
the second one has that leather mask [horus heresy rout] if you painted it as such i think it would look pretty cool ;) second that I like the second head because it seems more into what I would see a werewolf guy to put on his head. Makes me think of medieval lepers trying to cover their boils and sores... but ironically, that's my pick also. stinkenheim
I like the last one, bestial but also restrained. It's like he hasn't lost himself fully to the wolf spirit and would be able to still command his troops. Brother Crazywolf
I would have to say the second for my tastes. Still has a sense of direction but still caught up in the battle frenzy. I would say the first would be good for regular troops working as an assault force. Wulfebane
They're heads from HORDES models, specifically Tharn Wolf Rider mounts. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/235960-need-an-opinion-on-a-head-for-a-wulfen/#findComment-2843155 Share on other sites
