Mixed gene-seed

Hey...I know that mixed Gene seed is a no-go zone in making an IA...

But i also know its possible if the chapter in question was created during the 21st founding right?

So...theoretically...I could create a chapter with mixed geneseed...

so ive been researching for days...and Ive gathered a base story of a chapter with a mixed geneseed...Ive looked at other IAs on this site with mixed geneseed and seen the comments and critiqueon the matter..but i'm sure i could pull it off...

What do you guys/girls/cyborgs or wierdos think? :D

Well, as the guide itself says, at the end of it all it's your chapter...so just do what you have to do.

Certainly people may comment and groan about it and it may or may not contradict background or be a bad idea, but ultimately the owner's satisfaction is the most important, because he/she is the one who will have and use their army.

Personally, there are many DIY chapters I find bland or corny here. Their owner may have different tastes or some personal frame of reference as to why they like it that I just don't get (just as there may be people who don't think my ideas are all that great). Yeah, stating the obvious, I know. :D

Also, one of the stronger points of 40k is that you can always obfuscate and blurr some background details, just mystifying and vaguely hinting at something. That could help you wiggle through some spots. :P

I say go for it. My chapter uses ANY geneseed it can gets its hands on. Even other loyalists, hell even traitors if its not too corrupted. All must be sacrificed to obtain ultimate victory.

That sounds pretty risky for the chapter. I take it they're always "out fishing" when the inspectors come? :D

Thanks guys :D and yeah...mystery is kinda what im going for...

unfortunately geneseed malformations keep the chapter in low numbers...

which sucks but at least they arent boring :P *cough ultramarines cough*

yeah..thanks again for the input guys

well...the inquisition kinda half killed the chapter lol...and because of the low numbers in the chapter, the ordos inquisition is over their radar..

Read the IA! (they blew up the inquisitorial delegation sent to investigate them after a LONG time in the warp. Are currently crusading out in the Eastern Rim, slowly buiding up their numbers, and helping the Imperium expand. Even if inquisitors tend to disapear when venturing out into outer space...)

The IA is called the Abyssal Hunters if you want to read it by the way.

Ah yes...I recall seeing the name. Might check it out.

So...ive got a rough sketch of the IA.(I cant do much cuz im using my crap phone now..laptopz owt of battery..) Chapter name: Inconnu Knights Homeworld: Jakroth minor Geneseed: ][ CLASSIFIED ][ ok..its realy boring and bland but til i can get my laptop charger working thats unfortunately all i can post.:(
Inconnu Knights? What's Inconnu? They're planet, a famous battle, they're spiritual primogenitor. Must have more fluff! MORE!

OH NO I"M A FLUFF JUNKIE. I"M A FLUNKIE!

lol.as i said.i wish i could post all my fluff bt my phone is extremely rubbish and not very reliable.i have written pages and pages of fluff in a book i found lying around the house.im itching to get it all out,but it will only be next friday that i can get it out there :(

Ok..this is a bit off the topic, but over the forum there are varied views on the personality of the =][=.my personal view is that they are exactly like the Gestapo.(urg, gestapo *vomits silently*)the reason i make this connection is because 1.gestapo and =][= are seprate from the army. 2.both are disliked by 3 quarterz of the army. 3.they both investigate and control any heresy situations and 4.they are both realy scarey. (just picture the =][= as grim men wearing black leather trenchcoats and limping through the fog xD hehe) what are your views on this cus il need the personality of the =][= in a non important part of my IA.its not important at all.

The inquisition is pretty much every single really population control division coupled with the nastiest anti-terrorist/terrorist organisation, coupled with the kind of religious fanatical belief that even the actual Inquisition(when it was around) would baulk at. And thats the nice ones.

We really could not imagine the 'hardcore' inquisitors, as our culture is just not that totally, truly  up. Honestly, make them as nasty or nice as you like, but in the end, they will always do whatever they have to for what personally believe the Emperor would want. Think of the most brutal guys in history, and give them power over everything they see (barring the AdMech, Astartes and Imperial Cult). Thats your average inquisitor. Their are nice ones, but thats as rare as a athiest in the Vatican. Could be there, but stupidly unlikely.

Edit: But that is my personal view, and i have not placed any evidence. If you do need any, just look at Inquisitor Kryptman. He decided to Exterminatus most planets in the Hive Fleets path, just to slow them down and 'starve' them of resuorces. That was most likely dozens, if not hundreds of planets killed just to slow down the Hive Fleet.

As most of the inquisition/gestapo/kgb(stalin era) organisation did, they accused each other of heresy/unpatroitic-ness(?)/drinking all the vodka(they are communists) and get each other killed, mostly in shady dealings. Just like the inquisition(40k one). And don't even get me started on factions within those kinds of organisations :D
This is what ive been thinking aswell..but even tho there are lesser factions,i still think there is a himmler/comrade general/boss-man that basicly has absalute power over the lesser factions and their leaders.whats your opinion guys/comrades.. :D ok.and now the other thing is,would the inquisition know of the admech's mixing the gene idea while it was in progres?<21st founding> your opinions appreciated.

True. But the point was that he can have Iquisitors be both enemies and allies...at the same time.

The 6 main "factions" of the inqusition ensure you can almost always find an inqusitor to defend you...If you fast and lucky enough.

"Looky, me got's a Eldar spirit stone!"

Horusians "Get it, we can use it to bring around the Emperors dream" (They are the most radical faction out there)

Half of the factions "Look, a new weapon"

The other half "We will destoy it, for the good of the Imperium"

Both of them bring their armies, Deathwatch and Grey Knights versus Daemonhosts and Eldar. The Chapter quietly slips away with the Horusians in the midst of the battle.

This is either a plotline for your Chapter, or Inquisitorial politics. Probably both.
