Choas Warhound Titan Scratch Built

Recommended Posts

Hello B&C,

This is my first thread on the B&C as well as my first real do it yourself project. So I got excited a year ago when I first saw the Forgeworld Titans. However, I'm not going to fork over that much money for a model I might use once in a blue moon. After searching online I came across some templates for a Warhound titan and decided to give it a go. I went to Wal-mmart and picked up some poster board, straws, tape, and super glue. Then, I swung by Home Depot to grab some PVC pipe. It was a while ago but I believe I got all of this material for right under 20 bucks. Keep in mind I used 90 % of the poster board to make bombed out buildings and bastions. The amount of stuff i built out of all of this I would say the warhound only took up about 5 dollars of supplies... but I digress. Now, what you really want to see.

So, after I printed out all of the templates and cut them out I started working on the feet. They were pretty time consuming. I probably spent more time on the feet and legs than anything else.

Since these photos were taken last year (currently still stuck in Afghanistan) I did manage to brace the flimsy legs with some wire and started to paper mache the entire titan. I’m doing this mainly to give it more texture and thickness than just flimsy paper. Afterwards I plan on adding extensive GS for trim and details. Finally, I’ll paint it and probably add a squad of loyalist marines on the base attacking it. I Saw some pics of a guys titan that had marines repelling up the legs and assault marines flying around it. I might try this. Well, I’ll be back states side soon enough and this is the first project I look forward to finishing. More updates to come.
