Archon_77
Hey all, I just got a hold of some new GK terms and proceeded to convert one of them into a Libby. I'd like to do a alabaster main with blue tabard/details, but cannot find anything anywhere (search fails) on how to effectively paint alabaster (ivory, off-white) tones. I think It will play very very nice with the gold of the GK as well as the ultramarine blue of the tabby... anyone have any ideas on how this would be pulled off? Hemal
Alabaster is a warm white so I would start off woth something like an elf flesh mid-tone, highlight up through elf flesh + bleached bone to belached bone + white and shade using light browns or a mixture of elf flesh and graveyard earth... puck
You might try asking around in the Dark Angels forums, their terminators are bone colored so they've all got a lot of experience trying to paint off white color shades. My Librarian is painted similar to the way you describe. I've got pics up in my album under my profile.
