The light grey isn't washed so it retains it's lighter colour - otherwise, washes on every other part. MagicMan
Looking pretty nice man. Im not a huge fan of the two-colour limbs, but if you like it then go for it, its a nice scheme. MattCrawford
Nice looking marine, brother. If you're looking to improve your style, I'd say look to your shading and highlights. You seem to have really good brush control, so use that to your advantage to really make your mini pop. Shading can be done easily with Citadel washes, although I like using a watered down and dark complimentary color for the deepest recesses (if you opt to do that, try watered down Chaos Black for the gray, and a 1:1 of Chaos Black and Warlock Purple). Use heavy washes on flesh before you begin and build up from there. Pay more attention to the areas you want to stay shaded. Highlights are tricky, but if you experiment with methods and keep your paints thin, eventually you'll hit on a method that works. The armor on your mini in general needs highlighting. The red is solid, but it could use a thinned out 1:1 of Bad Moon Yellow and Blood Red, followed by that mix and Skull White 2:1 (more color than white). Black is tricky to highlight: paint a slightly lighter shade of dark gray over it except in recesses and then go for an even lighter gray along the edges. Gray follows the same rules, but you can be bolder and even do pure Skull White ultra-highlights if you feel bold. Keep up the good work!
