Arez
So today the local GW store had a celebration for their birthday. They had blood bowl.Warhammer, and 40k game(s) going.the 40k game was a 1000 point Apoc game.Interesting rule they had was if you lost a unit you had a chance to get it back. The DM(don't know another term for it) had a quiz book,at the beginning of your movement phase he would ask you a question and if you got it right you'd get your unit back.Anyone play a game like this? On a side I got Wolf Guard Terminators for a day early Birthday present , now people fear me :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/236683-played-an-apoc-game-today/ Share on other sites
MonSTeR
I was in store buying some paint a week or so and there were loads of younglings learning 40K from the store manager (who is great with them all, really nice guy), they each brought one squad and it was a bit of a free for all "good vs evil" battle. He was teaching them the importance of coming prepared. Anyone who came without their own tapemeasure lost a model. Anyone who came without dice lost a model. So in effect, the same thing as you saw but in the opposite direction ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/236683-played-an-apoc-game-today/#findComment-2852971 Share on other sites
Forté
Used to run the games nights at a GW years ago. Rolling peoples units back onto the table is pretty common for bring and battles. Did do a few games where people had 500pts and would be up against a rolling hoard of gaunts & stealers to see who could last the longest. Chapter Master Ignis Domus
I tend to test out my uber mega heroes against my Macragge Nids with endless wave based on a table of unit types and sizes. Eldrad does surprisingly well for a witch and a xenos.
