Temple Ruins

My second terrain piece. I used an example I saw on a forum and I am really happy with the end product. I still need to finish the sand / grass. I am thinking of varnishing the sand and then adding grass. Should I varnish the sand or paint it? Any comments or recommendations are welcome.

Looks good, I just have a question, how does one get to the second floor? From the picture I see no ladders or remains of something to climb. I would also think about weathering the pillars a different shade or color since depending on the planet it was on that they would take the more elemental beating. Just my observation, I still think it's a nice piece, nice use of the Captain from AoBR.

We just play that every level is 3" of movement as ALOT of our ruins don't have any ladders. I'd figure Marines especially would have grappling hooks & lines in their belts if Imperial Storm Troopers (as evidenced in Star Wars: A New Hope) do.
