BLACK BLŒ FLY
My favorite assassin is the Eversor - it's kind of weird he can no longer infiltrate but other than that he is a true monster. I have always loved the Culexus as well. If you want to get really cheesy with DCA then mix in some of the special grenades... They can and will destroy everything they touch. CuddlesHeretics
I've always liked Coteaz... But it's not a dislike for inquisitors, it's the fact that a retinue will cost about £30-45 I'd get Coteaz, or Solomon Lok (even though he's xenos) edit: That looks out of place now, but we were talking about Inquisitors on the previous page :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/236824-best-assassins-to-use/page/2/#findComment-2855995 Share on other sites
Freman Bloodglaive
Witch Elves make good death cult assassins... thinking about it that's practically what they are. CuddlesHeretics
After everything you guys have said, I would rather just have another unit of Grey Knights or something :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/236824-best-assassins-to-use/page/2/#findComment-2856032 Share on other sites
XaClocKWorKoX
normally i know this is going wayyyyyyyyyy OT if im doing a henchman list its coatez ( explain later in this ) with 3 servitors with plas 2 space monkeys 2 pyskers 4 crusaders wrapped in a chimera then two stormravens with DCA 10 in 1 with a libby ( second hq choice ) and 10 in the other with two crusaders ( storm sheilds for the win ) and fill the rest in with an assassin ( on topic ) and a psyflimen and strike squads in razorbacks this list is super fun against DS armies only because the warp quake part and you misshap them to within 12 inches of coatez for most likely a free kill point out of turn shooting. also the libby casts hammerhand/might of the titan and quicksliver and/or shrouding to help the dca cover too. so now you can have I10 s5 2d6 pen 4 attack on the charge dca and thats 40 power weapons attacks at speed eldar not much is living. CuddlesHeretics
Or... get DragoWing and just deep strike EVERYTHING. Then get some drop-pods, and dreadnoughts.... And some Stormravens, with anything else you need... thade
I definitely don't recommend DSing everything with Draigo Wing. In fact, I recommend not DSing anything with Draigo Wing unless you have no other choice. You only have like three or four units (since your ICs will be joined with squads)...a single mishap could cost you half your army or more. Another topic though. DCA are the closest we'll get to Banshees. They hit hard. And I bet they'd be fun to model too. CuddlesHeretics
I'm gonna get draigo as a leader, but what sort of army should I use? current plan rests at Draigo. 5 squads of paladins... but I could take some out and use some normal grey knights help meee haha Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/236824-best-assassins-to-use/page/2/#findComment-2856744 Share on other sites
nurglez
buy the codex before you decide. Write up some lists for 1500, 1750 and 2000 (those seem the norm around here, depending on your area this may change). There is a link in my signature to a thread about Draigo wing, and some battle reports. there are also several other threads about it. read those too. Make sure you know what you want before spending money :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/236824-best-assassins-to-use/page/2/#findComment-2856764 Share on other sites
