Magnetizing Models

Recommended Posts

I recently bought a bunch of rare earth magnets and got around to magnetizing up my guys.

The first thing I magnetized was my poor old Godhammer Land Raider because the sponsons have been held together with green stuff for about 5 or 6 years now. After that I magnetized my two predators and land speeders because i switch the weapons on them out frequently. I still have plenty of the largest magnets left.

But then I magnetized my new squad of terminators and my counts-as-belial (I play dark angels so i swap their weapons a lot) along with both tactical arms and lightning claws (i have a full squad of th/ss ones assembled already) and now i'm running low on the smaller magnets. I own pretty much everything in the space marines/dark angels repertoire, and i'm wondering what you guys think it would be prudent to magnetize next, besides the things mentioned above.

The first things I magnetized on my armies were the sponsons on my Stormravens and the arms on 3 guys in each of my Assault squads, followed by priest and Captain. I figured that I change out the weapons loadout on my special weapons troopers and special characters often enough it'd be nice to be able to actually swap them on the models. So I'd start there. Unless you have a ton of special and heavy weapons to represent what you already use. If that's the case, I'd stick with the vehicles and Dreads you use most. Just my $0.02.
