LordCommanderSamirus
I'm going to put in a vote for some pre- Seige of Terra Blood Angels action (especially the events on Signus Prime!) I second this! We've barely seen them at all during the entire series. As well White Scars. - Samirus Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/236908-further-hh-novels-what-you-want-to-see/page/2/#findComment-2856983 Share on other sites
Son of Rawl
What would be interesting if they get round to it is how do the Blood Angels formed the Death Company and started the nessecary actions to contain the Red Thirst Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/236908-further-hh-novels-what-you-want-to-see/page/2/#findComment-2857160 Share on other sites
Grimdarkness
The white scars well show up as the forces of the warmaster move on terra since they where sent looking for the wolves. Signes prime sets up the whole psyic backlash of the blood angels primarch forshadowing his death and the after effects. How the iron hands put there legion back toghter after istvaan. I think the Imperial fists well feature heavily in the siege so no stand alone book. Night lords well most likely be the death of curze or the events leading to it. I think we wont see the world eaters get any love since there "future" well muddel the past. I want to see the lion and russ and there rush back to terra. Dorn the khan heck lion and russ and there reaction to robute showing up late. The dark angels books finished off clearly. The_son_of_Dorn
the use of the word flesh over meat.......... in the gorey scenes i stop thinking of action and start to get visions of steak followed by a yerning to put the book down and have a steak sandwhich. But as i've only just started fulgrim i'm hoping to see something come out about the white scars. A D-B
I think we wont see the world eaters get any love since there "future" well muddel the past. Pretty certain I remember reading that A D-B is writing a World Eaters book called Butchers Nails? I'd call that getting some love Saa S'not a novel. The Butcher's Nails is an audio drama about Angron and the World Eaters, and to a lesser extent, Lorgar and the Word Bearers. That said, it leads directly into my next HH novel, so... Is this the super secret novel you're 'not allowed to talk about'? I smell World Eater goodness *sniff sniff* I'm proper gagging to read a novel about Angrons boys that isn't RAAAAWR I SMASH!!! After Deshea and Skraal from BFTA really piqued my interest. Olis
I'd like to see a story where the IW and the IF are involved in a joint action, providing us a good window on the bad blood between the two Legions during the Crusade itself or even be the seed of said bad blood. Vazzy
I'd like to see the finishing of the Dark Angels novels. But it has to have the Fall of Caliban, and be written by A-D-B cus Savage Weapons is how the Lion and his Angels should of been. sponsra
I just generally want to see even more tie ins between the novels, references and small hints backwards in the series (tie things together/paint the larger picture) and to the short stories (to give them more weight). PanzerSmurf
Less retconning! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/236908-further-hh-novels-what-you-want-to-see/page/2/#findComment-2858517 Share on other sites
Saa
Less retconning! No disrespect intended mon frere but whilst this is a common complaint it's a pretty vain and shallow one voiced usually by people that don't like their expertise being challenged. Until as fans we were lucky enough to have the Black Library flesh out this most iconic of stories, the Horus Heresy, we were only privy to snippets of text or clutched at straws whilst reading between the lines of the smallest scrap of info given to us regarding the full heretical facts. Now, authors have been given a licence to write about this rich and fascinating bit of fictional history and mainly 'stick to the story' with regards to previous 'fluff'. Are there 'really' any retcons that make your eyes bleed so much that it's that big an issue? For me, and I stress this is my OPINION they're irrelevant changes that overall have done nothing but make me think 'ah yeah, I see why ya did that'. dragon950
I'm sure that they White Scars book will take place sometime around the siege of terra, since that was their most notable action in the Heresy. I'm sure that the bad blood betweet the IW and IF is more due to polar opposites in their battle strategies than any event in their past. Would like to see another book with the Spae Wolves staring in a major role after how bad Prospero Burns was. TheEntireMac
I really want to see what Malcador does with Garro and the Astartes he had brought together. :( Can't figure out if they are the beginning of the Deathwatch or the Grey Knights or what. The Audio dramas were decent but leave you hanging. :P A Death Guard/Mortorian book, basically the same way they did The Lion and the Dark Angels Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/236908-further-hh-novels-what-you-want-to-see/page/2/#findComment-2859110 Share on other sites
TheEntireMac
Like to see the excommunication of one of the lost Legions (II?). As awesome as it would be to FINALLY learn about the 2 lost legions, I think it will be better for the 40k to leave some secrets locked away. Grimdarkness
Vulkan isn't dead... Are we really 100% sure of it? Last time I checked even Salamanders (Heka'tan in Forgotten Sons) had no idea whether his Primarch is dead or alive. The I.A said vulcan left his sons with little to no explation and is out there somewhere probaly chilling with russ corax and the great khan. Somethin i've been thinking on is ferrus gonna come back as a slave to the necron C'tan or as a c'tan? Just an idea i've had kicking about since his death. Ring-around-the-roses
If they ever did bring Mannus back, it woould be better if they didn't go the flamingly obvious route. As far as i know he only pursued the dark eldar into the webway if or when he got out no one knows. If he is a guest 10'000 years in the fighting pits of the eldar wow. As for mannus losing his head if his arms are the same metal as the UM sergent had in McNeils book there could be a small chance. Ashur
Some things are inevitable. We will see the WS during the siege of Terra, but I sincerely hope they will get a book about their actions prior to that event. Jaghatai is THE primarch I need to see. When you think of it, he is the only one without a real appearance. We barely get a passing reference to him in TS. Raven Guard actions after Istvaan will be published in 2012, so know we need the same for Salamanders and Iron Hands. Claws of Corax
I may be VERY wrong but I understood that The big E as he was being placed on the Throne, sucked Malcadors soul, (The first soul draining by the big E) The power of The Sig's Soul being such that it allowed The E to speak to his sons; The Khan and Dorn.. He gave The Khan a mission in the Webway to find the means to ressurect him from the Throne. Correct me if I'm wrong....!?!
