THE FROZEN BROTHERHOOD

This chapter of the latest founding originating from the Imperial Fists has had a... ok you know what forget it this is the frozen brotherhood my DIY chapter and i cut out in the middle of the fluff because i cant write it and if i tried I would be here for weeks so im just gonna cut this up into several of the basic subjects like colours, history, combat doctrine etc. and i will probably have a decent sotry in a few weeks

Colours:

there main colour is an icy blue (like the space wolves blue) with black and gold timming.

Combat doctrine:

they prefer to use elaborate plans that keep the enemy constantly geussing and having to react to multiple situations (something commonly used against the tau) although in the past they have been known to alter there strategies and commit to all out assaults or completely static defense.

Attitude:

The Frozen Brotherhood are a very cold, clinical and precise force that are very strict and orginized. they believe that the ultimate way to serve the emperor is to deote ones self completely to his service and to never question your superiors orders.

Origins:

founded in the 8th founding from the geneseed of the imperial fists. the first chapter master Akar was captain of the 6th company and was chosen due to his experience in battle and long and distinguished service. he began building the chapter up in an extremely fast amount of time. In late M34 they found a planet to call home, Sashi IV. from then on they developed a monastic like order and often protected the people of Sashi IV from the deadly Yotin.

chapter organisation:

they have only 9 companies (leaving out the 7th) which are all composed of exactly 100 marines at all times. NO EXCEPTION!

1st company: the frozen Fists

terminator and veteran company that is used in almost every campaign

2nd company: the Frozen Yotins

normal battle company named after a native beast (its a yeti)

3rd company: the Frozen Blades

normal battle company

4th company: The Frozen Bolts

normal battle company

5th company: the Sages

normal battle company except that it has 3 more librarians

6th company: the Frozen Map

tactical reserve company

7th company: *Lost*

lost in the warp ;)

8th company: the Frozen Rain

assault reserve company

9th company: the Frozen Hail

devastator reserve company

10th company: no name cause there scouts

scout company

Batlle cry:

"WE ARE THE KHANDRO, WE ARE YOUR DEATH"

homeworld:

Sashi IV

and snow planet similar to fenris that lies on the eastern fringe. It has a diverse animal life of which the most feared among the populace is the Yotin a massive beast as tall as a space marine and equally as strong and to complete the elevation to battle brother a scout must hunt and kill one of these legendary beasts. the inhabitants live in one of 9 cities each protected by one of the companies (the 10th city which there was had been destroyed in a tau attack).

the battle of Bhasundara:

in the early stages of discovery of the tau, an explorator fleet had been sent to Sashi IV to try and bring its people to the side of the Greater Good. but upon entering the range of imperial sensors chapter master Dorje ordered one thunder hawk ladden with explosives and piloted by a servitor to "send a clear message to the xenos". the thunderhawk flew close to the tau vessel said it wanted to speak with the leader of the tau leader, an envoy by the name of aun'stua. the tau sensing a ploy blew the ship up and upon seeing the explosion that was much to large to be of just a thunderhawk began an invasion targetting the city of Bhasundara. needless to say after a long and confusing battle the tau were driven back but Bhasundara was bombarded from orbit.

inspiration:

tibetan mythology and monastic traditions. i chose this becasue i believe tibet is a beutiful place and i decided to combine two of my favorite thing tibet and space marines. (yes i realise they have nothing in common but do romans or vikings either?)

so thats my chapter feel free to critisise CONSTRUCTIVELY and give me feed back sorry for the grammar im not from here cause in my country we speak 3 languages hurray!!!!

i will try to post pictures and work on the background some more

Right, a few problems

keep the enemy constantly geussing and having to react to multiple situations
-the name FROZEN BROTHERHOOD makes them seem steady and determend not fluid and malleable.

I would be here for weeks
-Most writers here are and when they finish they have much better fluff

What geneseed are they created by?

Who's the Parent chapter?

What mood do they portray?

Are the =][= friendly?

Do they have secrets?

Who are thier allies?

as a history note they would of missed the discovry of the TAU if they were of the 26th founding

hope this helps :)

That's where we all start - but trust me you can write it and you should...you have some interesting premises here. I agree with boldtype though, the Brotherhood sound more calculated and sanguine than flexible - but it's your shout.

I'd drop the bits where you say "like Fenris but..." because it feels right now like your Chapter want to be Space Wolves - which is fine because SW are awesome - but you have to go a bit deeper that that. You could instead say something like: "it is a death world bitten by chill winds and nought but ice, knowing not the touch of warmth."

they have only 9 companies (leaving out the 7th) which are all composed of exactly 100 marines at all times. NO EXCEPTION!

This is also almost "like Space Wolves but..." since SW have Great Companies and don't care about Codex organisation, but this statement also presents another problem - if the Company has to be 100 marines strong all the time, do they replace battle losses before the Company is committed to action? Do they replace them directly from the Scout Company? How? There may be a great reason, but tell us about it! :jaw:

Besides, a week in the Liber isn't that long....some Liberites have lived here for years and their Chapters, as a result are awesome. Forgive me for being a little blunt, but an IA takes work, in fact it's nothing but, if you don't want to put the time into it, there is really no point posting it here and leaving it...

We want to be told the story of the Brotherhood, it's how's and why's - let rip! B)

MR.

thanks for the reply guys as soon as i read i opened up word, got seven cans of monster andprayed to the emperor i would have some inspiration.

also the name reflects there attitude more than anything else cause with a name like imperial fists i first thought giant assault.

so anywho thanks for the comments ill begin work ASAP!

Just thought of a couple of cool (no pun intended) names: The Glacial Guard

The Frozen Fraternity

The Emperor's Blizzard

Just brainstorming :P

lol nice names but im stuck with the brotherhood, it seems more appropriate given their monastic attitude and way of life

but glacial guard does sound pretty cool. although frozen fraternity... lets not go there
