Something Wycked
Just stumbled across this today. http://hitechminiatures.com/_shop/userFile...l_painted_1.jpg I'm not really a fan of the wings for a Draigo, but the gear is correct minus the Stormbolter. What do you think? EDIT: Also found this/this for a counts-as Dreadknight. I'm kind of impressed. Waerloga Aeterna
Nifty. Clip the wings and slap a bolter on him and you've got yourself a good looking start at a Draigo. I'd personally fancy him up with some insignias and stuff. But still, a good base in my opinion. BLACK BLΠFLY
I built my own model for Draigo and used the actual Draigo mini (converted) for Thawn. Pretty cool mini there. Good find. :D G :cuss Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/237040-hitech-miniatures/#findComment-2857967 Share on other sites
Something Wycked
Updated the original post, I found something that could work really well as a Deadknight too! greatcrusade08
the dreadknight is pretty cool, but that character model looks alot like belial to me :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/237040-hitech-miniatures/#findComment-2858099 Share on other sites
DinoDoc
Given the colors used to paint it, I'm sure that's who they intended it as. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/237040-hitech-miniatures/#findComment-2858340 Share on other sites
SanguineSon
Maybe it's because of the colors they used but that first model screams Dark Angels to me. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/237040-hitech-miniatures/#findComment-2861120 Share on other sites
Something Wycked
Its definitely the colors. And probably the wings, too  Just imagine them painted gunmetal and minus the wings ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/237040-hitech-miniatures/#findComment-2861410 Share on other sites
jhrovii
I'm not impressed by the Draigo model, at least in terms of it's conversion potential. It's a fine model otherwise I guess. That "Dreadknight" is mighty impressive though. Wicked cool. Seems a little small though... Only 4 inches? jeffersonian000
I've seen those before, that company does a really good job with their minis. You could fill out an entire IG regiment or SM chapter with the stull they have on their site. Crynn
Am i the only one who is not impressed by those models? The character looks like a scibor model just very chunky no movement and a horrible looking sword and the dread knight looks a little well, childish. I think while detailed they look more like anime characters or somethin of that nature. The shoulder pads on that dread knight just look horrible. Something Wycked
Any more abominable than a Terminator in an open roller coaster harness piloting an anime mecha? I don't think so  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/237040-hitech-miniatures/#findComment-2861597 Share on other sites

Something Wycked
The Hitech version actually has some Gothic styling to it in the fortress-esque shoulders with flaming braziers on top, a number of heraldry shields and a bunch of devotional text. What does the Dreadknight have? A word here and there, a single heraldry shield and smooth, rounded styling that is reminiscent of Eldar designs. Which is supposed to be like that, I guess, since there's that bit of fluff that the Inquisition is working with Eldar. But that doesn't mean I have to like it that its Eldar inspired/designed. Purge the Xeno! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/237040-hitech-miniatures/#findComment-2861609 Share on other sites
Crynn
Am i the only one who is not impressed by those models? You're not the only one. You came to save me... @ wyked. Don't get me worng bro, I don't like the dreadknight at all I just think that thing is worse. the finish isn't sharp like Gw models and that in itself I don't like before I even get to the design, but hey it's just personal opion, don't let me ruin it for you! Something Wycked
Honestly its just an irrational defense of something I want to like more than the real Dreadknight but just can't bring myself to do it  On paper, in text, it has fantastic qualities but its execution is lacking. /sigh Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/237040-hitech-miniatures/#findComment-2861618 Share on other sites
jhrovii
The GW Dreadknight model is amazing. Spectacular. Fantastico. He's huge. I'll never understand the hate towards that model. "It's too silver!" What did you expect, Grey Knights in only gold and red? Come on we're grey. jeffersonian000
My only dislike in regards to the NDK is the stupid oval base. Other than that, I like the model as is. Something Wycked
I'm not a fan of the super-articulated fingers, or the thick, oddly shaped frames around the hands or the roller coaster harness for the pilot. Or the roundness of everything. It goes directly against the entire Imperial school of thought for building things. APCs? Metal boxes. Land Raiders? Rectangular metal boxes. Drop pods? Tapered metal boxes. Dreadnoughts? Metal boxes with legs. Imperial buildings? Metal boxes. Imperial ships? Metal boxes with arches. And so I look for alternatives :) At minimum I'll want to put something like a Stormraven/Valkyrie cockpit in place of the pilot's... roller coaster harness. But in the meantime I'll keep wishing for someone like Hitech/Zealot/Dreamforge to make me one that I really like. Something Wycked
For who? The gear kinda matches up with any GK with a sword, so I guess it could work for Crowe or something... Crynn
Given the forum, I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned as a counts as model. That model is hidious. The halberds blade is so thick because they have used a press mold to make it so it is now a bludgeoning weapon. The demons head looks bad too. Again personal opinion but I would never buy that. On the dreadnight, I agree the model is way to curvey for marines it doesn't fit their athetics well. jhrovii
Given the forum, I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned as a counts as model. Meh. The arms are reminiscent of a 3rd edition model.
